HD programs cutting off early
Hi All
I read the thread about Channel 4 losing the last minute or so of a recording, but I am getting it a lot lately, mainly on BBC HD programs. For the last two weeks I have lost the end of Graham Norton, and Miranda seems to suffer the same problem as does Julia Bradbury's German Wanderlust. Initially I thought it might be the clock on the Humax Foxsat a couple of minutes out, but it's spot on. It's getting really annoying now because I have to try and find the ends of these programs on the I-player which really spoils the viewing. I dont want to use the manual padding because of the clashing problems involved. Any ideas I can try? Many thanks Robert |

I recorded Miranda @20:30 on BBCHD and all 3 episodes were complete. Julia I took from BBC 4 (late) with no problems either. Don't record Graham.
On the recording information the actual time for Miranda was 1 or 2 minutes late. I have no padding set - Start and End times are set to Auto. The only programmes I have ever had late start problems with were from Five. So sorry - can't help. It is very frustrating. Hope it sorts itself out. |

I lost the end of the Natural World on Panda's this week (set to accurate recording)
no idea why.... only a minute or so, so I am not worried about it - just letting you know it is not just you. It had a "broken recording" icon while it was still recording - I think it may have missed a few seconds at the scheduled start due to overrun elsewhere, but still got the announcer woman and the roundabout before the show started. Maybe if it misses the start, it can't do accurate recording for the end? |

Thanks for trying - I'll just have to hope that it goes away

Hi again
Graham Norton cut off short again on Friday and I am really getting annoyed. It was a full 3 minutes into the recording before GN started and of course about 3 minutes was lost. Does anybody know if a factory reset could help with this sort of problem? I dont think it's me, so is it the machine or the broadcaster at fault. As usual, any help at all is appreciated |
