The tourists on Stella's and Jamie's bus should have got at least a partial refund from the BBC due to the inaccuracies and lack of information from both candidates . I mean the prices are so steep.

If I was a qualified guide I would be horrified at the way they were treated by the candidates. I'm sure I remember seeing a documentary on people training to be guides and the standard is quite high and they have to commit so much to memory and not like Stella and Jamie trying to remember everything in a day.

They would probably have paid double to get on The Apprentice. Or maybe they got an appearance fee.

It's quite often the problem with these tasks, that if the candidates were judged on the integrity of the service/product eventually provided, it would be a whole different story.

Probably quite good training for working for the company. Create a product that doesn't quite match the advertising.

I'm sure if they had asked for a refund they would have had to give one but nobody did. I wonder how many of them tried to find out what the biggest river in London was when they got home?

Exactly, it's not about delivering a quality product it's about one off profit margin. Return business means nothing.

Remember the Hors d'Oeuvre task from an earlier series when one team served up HUGE chunks of french stick with slabs of cheese on top at a refined social occassion

On a recent (official) tour of New York a bus load of tourists were told by their guide that one of the buildings there was used as a blueprint for Hogwarts in Harry Potter, because JK was in New York when she wrote the book and could see the building from where she was doing the writing

[Bloody good eye sight to see the building from Edinburgh ]

Yep, I can definitely see the resemblance.

No doubt about it.

I reckon they all did get a refund after they left the bus.

Indeed! It's always been something that's niggled me about the show.

Refund? They were lucky they didn't all get mugged on the 'real' cockney tour

I thought iit was really poor of sugar to say something along the lines of "The task was to get punters on the bus, after that it didn't matter" a slip there showing his true business values..

I think the customers knew what they were paying for. I'm sure off-camera they were told these were people weren't qualified tour guides, and they would have had to have signed a confidentiality agreement, and an agreement to allow them to use their image on-screen etc. They were more excited to be a part of The Apprentice than they were to be on a Cockney Tour Guide where they got to look at some graffiti.

Ha, yes, I'm afraid I do. That was highly entertaining!

the mugging bit made me laugh.

But yes, I noticed that inappropriate comment, that did indeed show his true business values.
