So her names Joanna Riley.....yet she chose to call one of her twins Riley.

It's quite a good way to get both surnames in without double-barrelling when the parents aren't married, I think. Like Miranda did in Sex and the City.

Although it does rather seem to say that they will never get married, and people can change their minds even after 12 years together (for example). Should it ever happen then Riley Riley it is

Of course it could be, and I am making no assumptions or insult here, that Riley's father is not her current partner in which case the possibility is vastly reduced.

If she has chosen to give the child its father's name, why on earth would it change to her maiden name if she got married?
