Simon "I'd love to have had Jessie J on the show this year. I think she's incredible"

Not many people will have heard of her but the girl is incredible! Although I don't see it happening at all yet, maybe next year. She's also been short-listed for the Brits Critics' Choice Award and the BBC Sound of 2011 poll, so who knows!

I didn't know that she was that well-known... I admit I don't follow the rap/hip hop music genre but I hadn't heard of her until I saw her mentioned on DS.

There certainly seems to be a lot of buzz surrounding her. Her début video already have nearly 4.4 million view on youtube.

I saw her on Jools Holland (and he doesn't have many crap musicians on his show) and thought she was great even though it's not my type of music.

Saw her on Jools to and she was very very good even tho it isnt my thing. He would not dare have her on in the final cos she would blow all the x Factor Acts off the stage, she is a big talent and none of them compare, IMO.

I saw what I presume is her new video but I turned the channel half way through as I couldn't stand it or the song. Boring generic r'n'b crap, imo. Hate that type of stuff. Sounds like a million other singers.

JJ said on her twitter she'd be honoured. Personally I can see a collab with JJ and Cher after the show.

Hahaha in you dreams i thin kJJ has more sense then that.

Do you think she would lower herself to go near any xfactor contestant.

JJ dont need Cher now Cher might need JJ

Havent see any vids, just a live performance on jools, it was quality, might write her own stuff too. Wonder if she ever thought of, or did, try X Factor. I have two daughters and said to my wife if either was into singing I would not want them on the show, if they were good, cos I dont know if it is much of an opportunity really, even if you get to the finals. Seems a bit of a poisoned chalice for most.

The real deal, that girl is.

Funky, original, massively versatile, a proper singer-songwriter with a killer diva voice.

If there's any justice she'll be contending with the biggest pop stars.

No i dont no her but i can see she has talent unlike some not to go on the show if she wanted to she would have gone on the show, as she is on her way why the hell would she even go on xfactor.

might write her own stuff too.
And the rest:

(Jessie J) found success as a songwriter, gaining a Sony ATV publishing contract , and a co-writing the Miley Cyrus hit "Party in the USA" with producer Doctor Luke, and Claude Kelly, and writing for Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown (with whom she toured Europe), and Christina Aguilera

The last thing Cher needs is to be compared with Jessie J

I didn't say that you did. But it is inevitable that they will be compared.

I really dislike Jesse J, her 'Do it like a Dude' is a song I do not want performed on a show supposed to be for singers, although we know that's not entirely true.

OMG – I absolutely LOVE Jessie J!!!!

First heard her song on the radio a couple of months ago and immediately had to find out who it was. When I found a few clips of her performing on Youtube I just knew she’d be the next best thing. So down to earth yet so talented.

The thing is she has all the swagger and attitude in her performances (just like Cher had in her original audition) but outside of her performances she comes across as a likeable, down to earth girl. You have to get the balance right. Cher should takes lessons!
