Why isn't Matt really 'connecting' with people on this forum anymore?

Well I sort of liked the VW, Charleston and the rumba but his other dances have (for me) been a major disappointment - the Quickstep, Foxtrot, AT and especially the AS. It's a real shame because I think it's the choreography that's let him down.
Bottom line, from what I've seen of his dancing, it doesn't compare to Kara's. He could be just as good a dancer but unless Aliona gives him a chance to show that, we'll never know. At this stage even if he was brilliant over the next two weeks, it's too late to win my vote because I'm already invested in the K&A partnership who have delivered many outstanding dances.”

I think he is a bit too uptight about nailing the technical side of it, so that distracts from the performance.

I fully expect him to win though because the bookies aren't likely to have made a mistake all these weeks.”

^^^^^^^^ disagree with that totally, what about their samba in Blackpool and their opening dance? remember them.

Matt's latin is as good as his ballroom which has been consistently excellent especially considering he has a busy workload and he has met every challege Aliona's choreography has thrown at him and it does tend to be challenging.

He certainly has not put gymnastics into every dance and has no more props than anyone else - and so what if he used a prop he owns, talk about nit picking.”

I'm speaking about the performance side and giving the right emotion for each dance.

The point I was making was that a lot of people put the blame on Aliona when in fact she always focus on Matt's strengths in a routine rather than challenging like Artem does with Kara.

I struggled to relate to Matt, he seemed almost too nice, almost robotic, hard to believe he was genuine.

I really felt for him tonight though, you could see how much it meant to him, how hard he has been working, and he looked genuinely gutted when the judges laid into him.

After tonight I really hope he stays, and that he can nail his dances tomorrow and next week. He is undoubtedly talented, just needs to relax and stop pushing quite so hard.
