Just caught up on iPlayer. I may have to break my own "rules" and vote tonight (yes, I am one of those pesky abstainers!), as I think it would be awful to lose either of Pamela and Kara before the final...

Overall,

Matt and Aliona - The dance had too many bits in it and wasn't a cohesive Salsa. Matt was completing the dance rather than dancing it and his technique wasn't great - very little swivel in the hips etc.
The Tango was good - sharp, good music and Aliona really attacked it, Matt attacked it.

Pamela and James - Looked like a bullfight without the bull, but Pamela did dance what she was asked to dance well - didn't like the music, Pamela's dress or her makeup.
The quickstep was too gimmicky, the pink flaps for a dress looked bad. Music was suitable, but the routine was poor. Pamela danced it OK.

Scott and Natalie - Natalie led the AT. Scott looked comfortable at the start and seemed to be tagging along after that. Didn't like his outfit and the music was OK.
Scott seemed to be hanging on and mumbling during the first half of the Charleston and then halfway through, got in the mood and started dancing well. Good costume and music.

Kara and Artem - AFAIK you have to be in hold to dance the VW, so 30% of the time they were in hold. A beautiful showdance based on the VW.
Rumba - another beautiful dance. Would have liked more emotion from Kara, but her dancing was superb - deserved 40.

Gavin and Katya - The Samba is difficult and the Samba roll was the best bit. I watched Katya dance the rest of it. Good music, costumes and routine.
VW - Katya did her best to make Gavin look good and he did look his best so far. In a three dance week, for Gavin - it was good.
