And the OP needed to start two threads about it?

Kara shows herself to be a class above everyone else and the knives are out.

I'm normally very pinickty but the foot 'lift' was obviously accidental and not intentional. Would have liked a tad more in hold but still lovely and definitely the best.

I have watched it back twice and the foot was off the floor for half a turn and then it cameoff thefloor again
If you mean Kara ( I think name calling is puerile) then your are right and she admitted it.

To me Kara's dance was beautiful. IF her foot came off the floor it was a mistake which is very different from a deliberate lift being put in.
I've never seen her punted as Perfect by anyone btw OP
This will help Kara win the glitterball. In the Argie tango, and now again in the VW she was undermarked. The public know what they saw. There will now be a tidal wave of public votes for Kara and Artem who both behaved impeccably. They bring honour to Strictly.

Kara was perfect IMO foot off or on the floor

best of the night and far superior to last weeks VW that got 40 with a stumble
Exactly she was perfect.

'Miss perfect' is a good name though Ann, Kara is perfect compared to the others.

It doesn't matter who your favourite is, Kara is by far the best dancer - posible the best of any series so far!
She was sensational tonight. The tiny error was not her fault and she did not get a perfect score, unlike Pamela, who inexplicably received 40 last week.

She should be, she won the Sport Relief version of Strictly Come Dancing in March 2008, with Mark Ramprakash. She knows what the judges are looking for and has studied dance herself.

The biggest plus is she's got a partner who was a finalist of ''So You Think You Can Dance'' in the US. He's also worked as a choreographer, performed on Broadway and danced on the West End stage.
i don't really understand what point you are making.... . In terms of Artem you seem to be saying that he's a professional danceer which i think is what the BBC employed him to be... like all the other pros on the show.

Uncalled for, really.

If I had a little less class, then I could start spiraling off about other contestants previous experience - but as it is, it's not worth it.
Wow. I totally would have done that!

She's a lovely dancer and I don't feel she's been favoured over any of the other 3 consistently high scorers either. It's been quite balanced between the 4 All series i think.

I can see what lazygardner is getting at, she had too much dance experience in the first instance to have been allowed to enter. They need to get more strict, we don't want people who are good like her from day 1 otherwise we might just as well watch the United Kingdom Ballroom & Latin American Championships ...

I'm sooooooooooooooooooo sorry I upset all you Kara fans. It seems on here that only a select few of you are allowed to have an opinion or make any comments at all.

I never said I didn't like Kara. I said she had danced in a previous competition with the winner of SCD, OK not a professional dancer but he knew the ropes by then and now she does too. I was also commenting on the fact that she is probably partnered by the best choreographer amongst the professionals. I didn't say it was unfair, it was just a comment.

And I don't have a favourite, quite frankly I couldn't care less who wins and who loses.

And if I had less class my response would have been as vitriolic as some of yours have been.

I don't really care if her foot was off the floor - she deserved a 40 for her VW. The judges are only pedantic when it suits them

All the top 4 as they are called have dance experience and or training. I am a Kara fan, but as far as I'm aware she rehearsed for one week to dance with Mark Ramprakash and was docked one week of training with Artem for it while the others received the complete alloted training time. Pamela Stephenson has, in the past, been trained by Bruno, others have done panto or been on stage for however long and however long ago. To single Kara out that way is a tad rich.

So you're trying to tell us that a salsamba with Mark Ramprakash 2 or something years ago means that she had an overwhelming advantage for the VW?

Also, hardly think it's Kara's fault that she got Artem, it's the luck of the draw. Probably producers hoping for showmance.

Kara really struggles to learn the choreography because of her dyslexia and the fact she has an extremely poor short-term memory. It just makes me admire her even more, she has overcome so much to get where she is.

Matt has previous experience, Pamela has years of dance training according to Ian Waite and Scott and Kara probably went to Drama schools where dancing would have been part of the curriculum. By your logic, only Gavin deserves to make the final, as he's the only one that truly started from scratch.

Even I saw Kara's foot lift off the floor without having to replay it. The move was a silly inclusion in the choreography when it was obviously going to be high risk, no room for error. It wasn't a hanging offence but given Len's pontificating and penalising of other couples his denial was a disgrace.

You know how gamblers give away their hand by 'tells' - unconscious ticks and body language? Well, your choice of title 'Little Miss Perfect' might be classed as such - but not so subtle. Snide much?

Yes, her foot was off the floor twice. It was still the best dance of the night, and the best viennese walz of the series.

Actually, the foot off the floor was not actually Kara's fault, but Artem's. Artem lifted her just a fraction further up than he should, so her foot bounced off the floor. It is an easy mistake to make, even for a proffessional. This is a very difficult move, that requires a hell of a lot of precision, so credit to them for risking it.

So, OP, before you name tag someone, do us a favour and do your homework first.
There was absolutely no need for Artem to include a lift in the VW.

I don't get all this 'it doesn't matter if her foot was off the floor' business.

It does. The rules say it does. Accidental or not, it should be penalised. With four 9s Kara would still have been at the top of the leader board. That kind of mistake has happened loads of times in the past, but has never been so blatantly ignored by the judges.

Why bother having rules if the judges don't enforce them?

I want Kara to win fair and square - not because the judges decide to ignore the rules with her.

PS Not ONE judge mentioned Pamela's 'stumble' last week, but every judge admitted they saw Kara's foot lift off the floor at least once. That's the difference.

I agree, Kara is my favourite but I want her to be marked according to the rules . I cannot believe Len chose to ignore their lift and give a 10.

Especially as the other week he made a definitive statement that there had been too many dances which hadn't conformed to the rules of dance competition (illegal lifts were specifically mentioned), and that in future the judges were going to be very strict in marking, i.e. penalising, these illegal moves.

I still haven't forgiven Craig for giving Ramps and Karen only 9 for their AT, but (like many people) I'm now convinced that he is the only judge to give a reasoned critique and mark. I'm sure he deducted a point from someone earlier in this series for an illegal lift.

IIRC, in the Tesspit, Kara said something along the lines of trying all week to keep her foot on the floor and then said 'It was unintentional', meaning to me that she knew that her foot had come off the floor in the dance tonight.
