What even was that?!

Matt comes 2nd in the Swing dance and stays in the same leaderboard position? Saps his training time, he does well in it and gets nothing for it?

Weird.

Had his Salsa gone better though, he might have leapfrogged some of the others on the table.

I think he'll get the votes and be fine, don't worry

I hope you are right Sid. I thought the judges were really nasty to him tonight.

That really is the three (dance) judges doing their job, that salsa was awful

I thought they were on the money Sue, but did labour the point (especially Bruno who went on and on).

I felt sorry for Matt, because I genuinely didn't think he expected that sort of feedback.

I thought this too - they were way harsh with Matt, he looked utterly defeated. It was almost like they were wanting to bring him down 'a peg or two'. It wasn't a perfect dance but it was no where near as bad as the judges made out. I am really worried for Matt seeing as 2 are to be eliminated.

After tomorrow I believe there will be 3 sets of judges RANKINGS. Matt's would then be: 2, 4, ?.

The sum of these 3 rankings will become one set of 5 judges' rankings, then aggregated with phone rankings as usual.

I guess that they will total up the points tomorrow night as they have done in previous years, so Matt may gain a place or maybe two then from doing better in the Swingathon.

I think you have hit the nail on the head when you mention bringing them down a 'peg or two'. However, I think they are trying to bring Aliona down and trying to make it obvious to her that it's her choreography which is the problem, in the hope that she will sort it out. Don't think this will happen but one can only hope
