So what if the choreography is a bit off the wall and does not contain any of the required elements?

The point is she annoys sourpuss Goodman , that is her whole raison d'etre and that is worth bonus points as far as I am concerned.

Keep it up Aliona go girl! go!

I don't mind people not liking her choreography, not everyone is going to get it.
But when people (and admittedly it's only been a couple) have attacked her personally because of this, it is out of order.

She seems like a really nice girl

Plus, she is outrageously hot

You are SO right attackmusic.

And the bonus is she can REALLY dance. Wow she makes fantastic shapes and lines and her speed and accuracy is brilliant. She has been wonderful with Matt and appears to be a lovely sweet girl too.

Oh to be a coupla decades younger

I like Aliona, and particularly when she shielded Matt from the camera on Sunday's results show.

But I thought you didn't like the 'permissive' nature such things boba? Or has she been upgraded to a Rampant Druid?

I hope bbc do not retain Len's contract, his fanbase has gone right out of the window.

At the expense of Matt? Well, even up till that bizarre AS, she thought Matt was somehow immuned to real criticisms from the judges. She probably thought Matt was so good (and popular) that she could, in that sense 'get away with murder' (in this case, mudering the genre of dance, or the spirit of it).

But it really didn't work for the salsa, and you know what, Matt is only human and he broke down.

After watching back, I think Aliona's silence when Matt was mauled by Len et al. was partly due to the fact that she was not prepared for such a full-on onslaught (mainly from Len, actually after calming down meself in the cold light of the day the other judges were just commenting they way they normally do if they didn't like the dance), and how Matt took those criticisms to heart.

I don't think the Judges would dare behave like that to Matt in the final and the Salsa apart A & M's routines have always been the most entertaining. There would such a backlash if the judges take it out on him again, that it would almost certainly galvanise the public to vote for him.

I loved their A&S , with a bit of refinement it would be an outstanding routine.

I'm really Just as many people think the judges were right as wrong, so surely the ones who thought they were right about his salsa would vote for the person who is in the final 2 with him if they felt that the judges were being nice for an average routine. I really don't think the judges judge to make the public happy. I may not always agree with their scores or remarks, but I think they are doing an honest job and I don't see them changing that just because SOME people are unhappy with their remarks/scores.

Look at the backlash for Pamela because of perceived overscoring, Matt could suffer the same fate.

I also totally disagree about entertainment. I think he's the least entertaining of the three left. He's second to Kara on technique but he can't sell a routine like either of the women left, in fact, I would say that Pamela is the best "performer" of the three.

I don't think I'll remember any of Matt's routines in 3 months time, whereas I will remember Kara's AT, Paso, Rumba, VW and Tango for years. I'll also remember Pamela's salsa (not for the right reason, admittedly ) and VW too even though sh'e not my favourite.

I think you are being kind. That AS from A&M (gosh, never notice that) needs a LOT of refinement.

Matt is not a pro dancer as many people accused him of, that AS just about proved it. One week, actually five days of training doing those contemporary stuff is asking him to move mountains TBH. No wonder he looked pained in that dance, it's too demanding, and at some point he was struggling to stay on top of things (those silly jittery rounabout may be mistaken to be a FUNNY routine, instead of one filled with angst).

I really pity Matt this way. He's good and Aliona, I think, thought "oh good, he can cope with just about anything, I am going to show people Matt can do the impossible."

Y'know what? Matt is human. He has limits. Yes, he's flexible and do flips and stuff (mind, even dolphins do flips!), but he's not THAT thick-skinned as to put up with judges' criticisms because his struggle showed in his face when he tackled his routines, oftentimes made too a little too difficult for him to really enjoy his dance!

See that is where some of us differ. I think Kara is a brilliant dancer but her performances bar a couple, leave me cold. I prefer to watch Matt and Pamela and remember their routines better. Up until last week I would enjoy watching Kara as she danced and then instantly forget her.

My predicton is that Alona will be one of the first on the list to be hired next year (assuming the same producers in charge).

I think she has done exactly what they would have liked to see, based on the way they have changed the show.
It's not the way I wanted the show to go, but (partly because of the good celeb lineup and match-ups) the viewing figures have seemingly gone up after the poor series seven.

Aliona has taken the opportunity of the new reduced rules to experiment - trying lots of new things, some of which didn't turn out great. Lots of different looking dances with lots of variety.

Artem has been more clever, in that if he doesn't include a lot of the actual dance in the choreography, his filler always looks good and is similar to the theme of the dance.

To be honest, this self-proclaimed Kara supporter forgot which dance she first scored her ten (it was the paso) the week after she danced it. Talk about a rubbish supporter.

But I will always remember her cha-cha (how embarrassed she was at the end because she was caught in her dress), the foxtrot (from Russiaaaaaa with Lurrrrve!), her Charleston (though I liked Matt's much more), her VW and of course her rhumba!!! Phwoar! I am SO glad people are salivating over Artem, it means I can have her all by myself!

Hahaha! She first impressed me with her Paso, I remember thinking thank you, there is some passion there! I loved her VW and I do think she performed the best Rhumba I've ever seen on Strictly. See, I can play nice.
