I've nothing more to contribute to this thread...
Just wanted to stand up and be counted - she's just absolutely fantastic, could probably make a career of dancing if she wanted to, and it will be a complete travesty if her and Artem don't make the final!

The speed it was danced at and the synchronisation between her and Artem made it technically very difficult.

I always think it's 'easier' for the celeb female with the pro male to look really good rather than the celeb male with a female pro and having learned to dance (quite basic) a few years ago, I realise it's easier as a female to be led by an expert male than the other way around!

Yes, but because it's quite simple, it's not easy to make it really exciting. I can watch it again and again!

I think she is a different league to rest of them at the moment (and deserves to win), which is a shame because SCD is better when there's genuine competition (like Alesha vs Matt D).

I wanted the final to be a genuine contest instead of a coronation.

I agee but in Kara's case she really is brilliant, unlike any other female who has been on SCD. I would love her to win as she has a real talent.

It was a beautiful performance. Artem's choreography has been fantastic.

There's a lot of Kara gush on here. Yes, she's been the best performer in the last two weeks because she's had dances that suit her. You can only judge whether someone is streets ahead if everyone is doing the same dance.

I think she had has more good dances than anyone else, and might even get better.

Pamela is as good as she'll ever be, whereas Matt & Scott are struggling to find their form.

I wish that wasn't the case though.

Yes - whether she wins or not - I agree.

I'm no expert and I saw it, as did others.

No it wasn't. The VW is an elegant, flowing dance and she did that wonderfully and when done well the VW is beautiful to watch, and it was because she has a natural elegance, great lines and placement but it was not technically very difficult nor do I think it was a great challenge for her to do. It was however the best performed dance of the night.

yeah I think all her dances stand up against her competitors

judge her paso against pamela's
judge her AT against scott's
judge her salsa against matt's
judge her QS against gavin's

I think she's only been outdanced on the jive this series and everyone was crap that week

You missed out taste and instinct which cannot be taught. Everything which can be taught she learnt superfast (agree?).

She has beautiful lines reflecting all the sunshine inside her.

Comparing like with like, Kara is still far and away the best dancer.
I would love to see her with Matt and Scott in the final.

You've got that in one.

She still may not win, of course.

She does come across as super lovely - her docu on Dyslexia was one of the best programmes I have seen. It was touching and she came across so well. I think it gave me a whole new level of respect and like for her as a person.

Totally agree Brendan's girl about her dyslexia programme, such a nice girl!

I actually think that was my favourite dance they have done. I have loved all their dances but the American smooth and viennese waltz are the only ones that have made my get really emotional!!

Good on them!!

For me too, her genuine warmth came across, plus how difficult everything was for her gave new meaning to her divine dancing . She has somehow found an art form where she can excel .
Her waltz last night was the best Strictly dance for me ,It was enchanting .

Week after week she excels. I have had several favourites over this series but Kara deserves to win for her general demeanour, dancing, attitude etc etc.

I'm very much pro-Kara now. But huge respect to Pam who (although I can't stand her pop-psychology persona) has worked damned hard and seems to love dancing.

I agree absolutely with you here Petertard. I was discussing this last night with a professional, and they were saying that the VW, whilst only having three steps, is actually one of the most difficult dances to do in terms of maintaining posture and lines because of, as you say, the speed it is danced at and with it being so simple, the need for consistent accuracy in the footwork is higher because it will show every mistake, and there is less margin for error as there is in some other more visually bombarding dances (not all!).

So, yes, I agree with your comment.

I thought Kara danced it just beautifully.
