I like matt's dance tonight it was one of his best but still great but when the gave there scores really annoyed me he was much better than gavin tonight and to give out 7's across the board was nothing short of a disgrace imo

The Judges seem to have now made it clear tonight who there favourites are ( no name's will be mentioned) and it is now clear Matt is not there's

Matt at the end of the Judges Comment looked gutted

Yes. It makes you wonder what you have to do. He was great.

Unfortunately the low scores were the result of Aliona's choreography. I'm getting rather tired of Len's sour face though.

The choreography was his major downfall unfortunately. But he did make a few mistakes.

I felt sorry for Matt, but his dancing has never really impressed me. I think Kara should win and I think she probably will win now.

I don't think it really deserved any more than it got. Still, the judges haven't done him any harm: there'll be a massive sympathy vote.

No, I don't think they were a disgrace. Aliona's choreography took away from the score, as did Matt's over-enthusiastic dancing of it. I do think the judges sounded very harsh in what they said, it felt a little like they were bombarding him with hostility but that doesn't mean I don't think everything they said was right. I also didn't take very well to Matt's reaction - I think if he didn't expect great scores and spent a little more time feeling the dance as opposed to executing it, he'd do a lot better. That combined with Aliona's dodgy choreography from week 1 are the reason he's not getting top scores. I do think if he had a better teacher he'd do better - Aliona doesn't push him in the right direction and it's a shame because he has the talent, he just doesn't have the guidance or help.

He'll have the sympathy vote all the way to the final.

I dont think that salsa deserved any more than it got. Its a shame though...I do wonder if I would enjoy his dancing more if he had been partnered with someone else...I havent enjoyed Aliona's choreography.

Not one of his best nights but not as bad as the judges made out compared with the overmarking of some others.

Let's hope that his performance tomorrow is outstanding.

IMO, he was penalised because of Aliona's (terrible!) choreography. He did make mistakes but I think 7 was a stingy score.

I like Matt, i am not a massive fan but still i like him.. However i thought he was a little lacklustre tonight, i'm sure his Tango tomorrow will be really good though!!

No Xassy, he just isnt a very good dancer.

The 7 was fair from Craig (and maybe Len) but Alesha and Bruno by their standards should've given him a 9! The comments were a damn sight harsher than they need to be. Craig was being his usual self but I think Len really crushed Matt with what he said. His face and body physically deflated, it was tough to watch.

to be fair I have voted for both of them. Thus if Matt does not make the final I may just vote for Kara only, she was great tonight.

The dance looked awkward, and the choreography was meh. I'm sure he gets the sympathy vote though, so he will be safe. After Gavin it was my second least favourite dance.

I fully agree with this If he want's higher marks etc then the choreography needs to drastically improve. Also, the 'poor me, I'm giving it my all, what else can I do' will only have gained him public sympathy like you say! But it's not only him giving it his all! Every couple is giving it their all.

I know lots of people don't like Matt, but really? His worst dance of the series? Worse than Scott's American Smooth which got two 9's?

I think he's overrated too. He dances "by numbers" without really feeling the music. He's also prone to making mistakes. I think Kara is a better technical dancer and she's a better performer.

I like Matt but that salsa was terrible, very slow and laboured with no content to speak of.

I don't get what happened, I've been criticising Aliona for complicating things for weeks and then she does that? That looked like someone's first salsa lesson in a class, it was so simple, it had nothing.

Is it under-rehearsed do you think? It really surprised me though, because he samba/cha cha, can't remember which, sorry, was amazing.

Scott's AS was the most overmarked dancer ever! It deserved about 24.

Judges were unecessarily rude at this stage - they don't like him and did not bother to hide it. It was not his best dance but he should have scored higher than 7. They just ambushed him tonight - it was plain nasty.

I did say on the show thread that Matt's 7s for that and Scott's 9s for AS were and unfair, really, but I think Matt was marked accurately as nearly always and everyone else around, Kara apart, is massively overmarked. They all were tonight imo apart from Matt, but Kara's VW was so much better than Pamela's last week that they didn't really have anywhere to go.

I think Kara is the best dancer, but have enjoyed Matt's performances all the way through. I didn't like the choreography, and I don't think it was his finest hour either. But to give 7s was a disgrace! 8s across the board would have been right, in my opinion. He wasn't any more lack lustre than Scott.

I hope Matt won't get sympathy vote. I can't imagine a final seeing Aliona messing up the showdance if she's already doing such a bad job channeling the puppetgate cringe-factor choreography week on week. Enough is enough.
