I really can't believe it. The guy has been travelling the country, working on two other shows, barely any time to train properly and has consistently produced really good performances. The first week that he is able to clear his schedule and put the training in... and it all goes wrong!

I think nerves must have got to him. All his other dances out of hold have been loose and musical but he looked very rigid tonight.

And I've never felt Aliona's choreography was bad (I loved their American Smooth!) but it fell well short of what was required tonight.

The good news for Matt fans is is he looked much better in the swingathon (which I thought didn't work as a concept at all!) but it's looking ominous!
