I genuinely do believe this was an act of retribution on the part of the judges, but not towards Matt, but Aliona!

She had similar comments last year from Len, I'm sure one dance they didn't even give feeback to Rav they just told Aliona off for the choreography.

However my opinion of Aliona isn't the same as others on here!

1) She must be a good choreographer as correct me if I'm worng but her and Matt did some amazing pro dances and she muct have been part of the choreography.

2)She has clearly stated that she is choreographing for the publics enjoyment and in this respect she is winning, Matt is the only contestant to get a standing ovation every week, if you watch clips back there are none that get as many standing ovations as Matt.

3) I see her choreography as a different tactic to other pros, I did point this out earlier but it's worth mentioning again, most pros try to please Len, but Aliona is thinking stuff it I just want the public to love it. In fairness to Aliona as there is now no dance off, her tactic is actually genius, what's the point in getting bogged down in rules and basic steps when you can wow people with gymnastics and lifts? The public do seem to love Matt and if his popularity stays constant with Aliona's crowd pleasing routines, it wouldn't matter how amazing his opposition in the fina,l she would have already done her work cultivating the popular opinion. Also I think her tactic has the added advantage of ensuring she stays longer as she has a controversy angle too!

As a non dance pro I appreciate that those of you with a passion for ballroom dancing wouldn't like this, and as a non expert, with only Strcitly as my knowledge base, I personally would also like to see more content and less getting between wow lifts, but I think Aliona is getting a lot of stick for choreography being selfish which I don't think it is , it is just a clever tactic that is actually working so far!

That is why the judges are angry and frustrated and yes it did reflect in their scores!”

reckon the judges have had some sort of argument with their producer.

I think Matt has now informed them that he can't do the tour as a result of taking on the One Show main chair so they are trying to ensure he does'nt win because not having the winner on tour will cost them money ....

I couldn't agree more. Why they think they're being subtle, I'll never know.

i agree it was his worst dance. I don't agree about the score. It was 2 points worse than Scott's when he forgot his routine? I don't think so.

Sorry, I'm not buying that. The BBC won't be at all worried about the tour, they've an income of £3 Billion!
What they would like is for Matt to win as the publicity will help the ratings of "The One Show" when he starts in January.

For the BBC "Everything is about ratings."

I reckon they will mark him higher tonight whatever he does but leave him just a couple of points behind Scott in fourth place.

Watch out for high scores all round

I think the judges, apart from Craig, have been appallingly bad this year and poor Matt got the brunt of their awfulness last night. They are supposed to judge the celebrity dancer and how they perform, not the choreography. That is the responsibility of the professional dancer and however much the judges dislike it, if the celeb dances it well, the choreography shouldn't matter.

Budget cuts - each show stands or falls on its own successes now, and the franchising by selling abroad or the tours are a big part of the profitability

Mission accomplished indifferent Charleston given 3 9's - unless Matt gets 10's he is fourth on the leaderboard.

Kara was sensational

So much better than Scott but not worth 10's - judges digging themselves out of a hole!

Ask and you shall receive. Thank you Aliona for a straight forward DANCE!

But not enough to influence who they are supporting if any, on this programme.
Anyway it's a totally different department. Even the BBC channels are competitive with each other.
