Oh, and I could be wrong, but wasn't it Len that denied Alesha 40 with their VW in the final ?”

No, they did the waltz in the final and I know, I still feel mad about that I took from what Len said that although he's given out 10s for dances before, only a few of those celebs that deserve a 10 on Strictly really deliver a perfect dance and rise above the Strictly level.

Agree totally, I adored Alesha's VW.

Credit to Artem for his brilliant choreography, and to Kara for nailing it.

Pity about her feet leaving the floor - but when I think of the best ever VW this will be the most memorable.

Beautiful and memorable - pity wardrobe added those awful bows to her dress.

Do we think Kara should have gotten 40/40?”

I've seen better and there is the small matter of the illegal lift so no higher than 36 at a push for me.

Absolutely worth a perfect score. It was poetry in motion in the most understated fashion. I've never ever seen two people more in tune with eachother as well as with the choreography. Music was just so well suited. LOVED IT!

The true measure of a dance on this show is how much it is viewed on youtube after the show is over and despite her scores I think Kara is doing quite well on the longevity front. Better than her competition this year and probably on a par with Jill and Alesha from yesteryear. The scores this year have been more bizarre than in previous years and have never been a true interpretation of how good a dance is as the judges have agendas to stick to.
