I currently have 5 gb mobile broadband from three with a standard sim that I use in a mi-fi. I contacted my local 3 shop about swapping to a micro sim for use in my Ipad. They told me I had to go through CS who may send me one or tell me to go to the shop. The shop could not do the swap unless CS approved it.
CS said that it had to be a micros sim they had sent me.

It finally arrived yesterday after about a week. I phoned up this morning to do the activation and swap. To be fair, CS were actually really efficient and clear this morning. Anyway.

CS told me that it would take up to 24 hours to swap, and to put my new sim into the Ipad after 9.05am tomorrow.

My question is: Is it possible the swap might happen sooner than 24hours, and will it do any harm trying the micro sim in the Ipad before tomorrow morning? Or should I try it as soon as my old sim switches off? Or is it dangerous for me to try it before 24hours, not in the sense that my Ipad might explode or anything LOL! but that the sim swap might be cancelled or the new micro sim be deactivated.

Is anyone out there already does this kind of sim swap, did you wait 24hours before trying?

Thanks

Ok, I'm able to answer my own thread now.
I went ahead and put the sim in this morning and it activated few hours later and was working by lunchtime.
It did no harm putting the sim in before it was activating.
