Would you save Pamela or Gavin
Kara looks unassailable in the race to top the judges' leaderboard. 61yo Pamela having excelled in the marathon looks set to amaze again in her quickstep tonight, but with the caution that jive and speed did not turn out to be her best.
With the top 2 spots likely booked, the best Matt can claw back from Aliona's tango is third, at worst second-bottom, disputing that placing with Scott. Gavin is booked for the bottom, not that it ever stopped the whole of Wales from backing him. For the first time Matt looks in danger of eviction tonight. The worst part of his slamming over the salsa was that he and Aliona had no reply. If Matt's massive Country File and The One Show fanbase desert him now because of disaffection with Aliona, Matt could actually leave tonight. Those hard men the bookies have revised their betting -- Kara now marginally the favourite at 5/4 (4/1 three weeks ago), Matt 11/8.Have to assume something, otherwise no projection is possible Lets assume Matt's massive fanbase save him tonight. That leaves one spot. Scott already fell below Gavin last week. The charleston is about fun and humour, the favourite dance of 1920's flappers, and it is doubtful if it will suit deadpan Scott, or even suit earnest high achiever Natalie. Pamela despite four 10's is known as box office poison - few are against her but there never is a runaway train backing her. Given a choice tonight between saving Pamela or saving Gavin, which will you choose? |

I actually liked Gavin's Samba and I didn't like Pamela sitting on the chair at the beginning and end of her dance (when was there ever a chair at a bullfight?) so Gavin

Pamela as Gavin isn't a very good dancer and doesn't really look like he's enjoying himself most of the time.

Gavin. Mainly in a tactical sense. I want Kara to win and think he would be less of a threat to her!

![]() Pamela in the Final would split the vote for women, and allow Matt to come through the middle. |

Gavin by a country mile! His improvement has been terrific especially with his confidence - you could tell it was excruciating for him at the start but now he is really enjoying himself. Wouldnt bother me if either Scott, or Pamela and i would even stretch to Matt went. For me Matt looks like he is 'dancing by numbers' technically quite good but no passion reminds me a little of Rachel Stevens.
I think Gavin has good suppport - i would even go to say its better than Scotts? But the judges are never going to give him a high enough score to get him off bottom cos they dont rate him and dont want him there. If I remember Darren Gough wasnt the greatest dancer against Colin Jackson who was brilliant so until i hear Tess saying you're out I'll remain hopeful for Gavin

Gavin !
Enjoyed his Samba party yesterday a lot more than Pammie's Paso. ( but my vote goes to someone else , maybe that's the case with a lot people so I don't think he will get to the final )

Pamela, but I don't think that is going to be the choice. I think Scott is going to struggle.
