I want to watch Armstrong & Miller at 9.05. Hoping the result would be in by now...

True, but it overlooks the fairly fundamental point that there is no dance off this year!!! Now, instead of a total of 30 points to divide up (15 from the judges and 15 from the public) there are 31, and Gavin has been the beneficiary of that extra point.

Pam into the Final will split the vote for a woman candidate, which allegedly is low enough because of the largely female electorate..

But really it's all about Kara now - making sure she wins this thing. Any other outcome would be a travesty.”

I knew he would win you over in the end Sid - hope its not to late if hes out tonight

Just be happy in the thought that the BBC is raking it in tonight, and that your hard earned dosh hasn't gone in their direction

I got through once for my vote (and I'm going to be coy and not say who, so there!) and tried at least 25 times. I do hope it's that everyone was voting and not that some geek somewhere had dreamt up a programme by which the right votes didn't get through

In an ideal world, yes. In the one we live in, the gloves have been off for weeks unfortunately. I wish Ann was still in the competition. Dislike of her brought all fanbases together.

I just got a message saying the forums were closed due to high demand... I let out a small yelp...

Refreshed and it went away... MASSIVE relief.

Under the old, pre-Tom, system, the only way that the top-placed celeb could be out was if the public completely and exactly reversed the judges' scoring order.

With the new method of scoring ties, and the fact that it's two to go tonight, it's easier for Kara to fall. But still unlikely, surely?

I will play nice if that ludicrous 40 set mouths agape and shot hands to the phone for Kara and she gets thru. I can be magnanimous in victory... until next week.

It was changed after the Tom Chambers semi finale debacle but should now be returned to normal because there is no dance off.........which was the sticking issue....Lisa and Rachel had joint scores and Tom could not be saved from the dance off even if he got highest vote......doesnt matter now with no dance off he would have been safe

The BBC don't get any cut of the money - never have. In the old days, the "profit" went to Children in Need. These days, the charge is reduced to what the phone company charge for running the vote.

Even though I often disagree with them, I'd rather see the judges making a tie break decision when 2 couples have the same number of points, so there's a clear ranking order.
