Can't believe they gave her 40 again! Hope she goes tonight...why do they have to keep mentioning her flaming husband? They don't do it with anybody else..drives me nuts...I voted for Gavin

I do try not to be negative about the dancers (and, yes, I know I fail), but I was as shocked as a very shocked thing when the judges started over-praising a very poor quickstep. Not only was it clunky and clumpy in places, but the hunched shoulders were back in evidence and there was gapping you could drive a truck through. So my jaw dropped lower and lower as each judge enthused, and I just KNEW it would be a 40.
![]() That is, without doubt, the most undeserved 40 in Strictly history, because I liked Lisa's dance and Matt di Angelo's waltz was okay by comparison. ![]() Incidentally, I thought the choreography was good but was sure Len would have a go about the prolonged faffing about with canes at the start - he would have done so for any other couple. ![]() As you might have guessed, I am a bit peeved... |

I didn't think Pamela's Quickstep was worthy of 40.

Pam's was the most one-sided VT as well.
The judges had nothing negative to say about her whatsoever and claimed she's as good at Latin as she is Ballroom?! but they mentioned several times that Kara has been making mistakes IIRC? Even though the only time they showed her making a mistake was for her cha cha cha? ..hmm..anyway..I might just be being a bit over protective there I really hope the judges bias is just all in my head

I'm sick to death of them calling Pamela consistent when she is anything but.
Her Jive and Cha Cha Cha were abysmal, and she's had so many sub-standard routines. If Pamela was 30 years younger then nobody would give a toss - and that's the truth! |

It surprises me that Craig would collude in that sort of thing.
I thought he had a lot more integrity.

I started off really liking Pamela and still think that she is on the whole a good dancer but, increasingly, I find it hard to enjoy her performances because they are so mannered and overacted. I think James realised that she did not have the stamina for a full-on Quickstep and so killed time at the beginning and then choreographed a Quickstep so slow that it even made Lisa and Brendan's look fast-paced. She didn't dance it badly but, as usual, her arms and body were very graceful while her legs and feet were a bit clumpy and ungainly. The judges have definitely engineered the scoring to try and get her into the final at the expense of either Matt or Scott (that draw in the leaderboard is so fishy).
On another note, in the judges' backstage talk Len said that when Scott was bad he was terrible. Why then has Len never scored Scott as if he was terrible? I have never felt that my favourite, Matt, has been scored particularly wrongly, just that the scores of everyone around him have been crazy. |

Well overmarked.
imo Kara and Matt were equal tonight and Gavin better than either Scott or Pamela. |

I wonder if James is a bit embarassed. He must know that wasn't a particularly great performance by Pamela. I wonder what he thinks when he compares her to some of his other partners that he's never had a 10 with. Not one.

This thread is so funny, everone exploding and coming up with wonderful conspiracy theories
![]() . Kara is on top (quite deservedly so), neither Matt and Scott deserved to be any higher if you take all their dances into account, so what. If you want them so stay in, vote for them. Gavin in on the bottom, quite deservedly so as well. Crap VW in my books, lots of timing issues (even if the other judges didn't see it, at one point he almost pulled Katya over). The rest is up to the public, so vote and dont' complain. |

What infuriated me most was Len actually having the gall to say he loved the tapping! Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't tapping as out of place in a proper ballroom quickstep as lifts?
Yet again Pamela has her own rules! I though it was executed cleanly, but was very clumpy and lacked the bounce and effortlessness that a good quickstep should show! |

I defended Pamela's 40 last week, but tonight's was indefensible.
A delightful routine, but visibly heavy footed in places. Worth a 9 at best. This week - well!! It was heavy (which a quickstep shouldn't be), I think some of the synchronised bits were out of time and I couldn't believe it when Len said Pam's posture was good throughout. It wasn't. Her nose was nearly toching James' chest at one point! ![]() I didn't have an opinion on Pamela at the beginning but I'm afraid the blatent overmarking by the judges and sucking up to her husband by Brucie is starting to turn me against her. ![]() Kara, Matt and anyone other than Pam for the final!!!!!

I think Len loves to make excuses, He was always the apologiser for Darren Gough's hopeless latin, by saying "well he's a man's man!" Same with Pamela! "Oh let her off she's old i'nt she"
