I loved it. Don't get me wrong I love the singers but having an instrumental track rather than lyrics really had an effect, it was almost as if there were no distractions and all my attention was on Kara and Artem.

That Rumba was like spying on Kara & Artem as they danced in private.
It was so intimate and so raw. Well done both of them. |

The only celebrity rumba that hasn't made me want to squirm. Never got Rachel's, always seemed too obvious.
Kara & Artem's rumba was so beautiful, tender and tingly, brought tears of joy to my eyes.

It was amazing, when they started doing the quick spins and drops I was like 'ooh this is what it's like when the pros do it!' as the normal rumbas we see on strictly are very different to the pro demonstrations. She so deserved 4 10s, last night, tonight, and last week and I am so mad that she didn't get them! I'm a fan of Matt but if she isn't in the final I will be fuming. All to protect Pamela.

Having watched both performances again and given the one point difference in the scores I that Kara's was by comparison as so close to perfection, as was Pam's to the Hokey-cokey.

One of the reasons I usually hate the rumba is that I have no desire to watch anyone elses 'intimate moments' which is usually what they try to be. This rumba didn't make me feel like a voyeur at all but I did feel all tingly that they allowed us to see a glimpse into something special.
Well done both of them. Honestly they've given us so many memorable dances. I find it difficult to pick a favourite. |

When you've been dogging as often as I have you get used to it, but even I felt like I shouldn't have been watching what Kara & Artem were doing! But I couldn't resist. They drew me in.

I've been wowed by dances on Strictly in the past, but Kara's Rumba is the only one ever that has had me teary eyed. Props to Artem for the choice of music and the fantastic choreography, which made for an inspired routine. They really are a class act.
I'm not too bothered about them not getting a 40. What matters is that they are at the top of the scoreboard, which is where they belong. |

I hope they decide to re-do the AS to see if they can get 40 but hope Artem doesn't it change it too much but just enough for Len to not penalise them again! But her tango, rhumba, VW, AT - all made me either cry or shake. ![]()

Kara is so wonderful, I'd take her with any amount of wobbles and mistakes over a technically perfect dance from someone else - she's soooo good!
when they dance you feel the music, it has so much "soul" .

An absolutely amazing rumba. The best one I've seen on the show.
I've added my comments to the appreciation thread, but Kara really has made extraordinary progress, I really wouldn't have expected to see such fluidity of movement from a celeb. And I really do hope that Artem comes back next year. |

Still the best dance of the night but not so mesmerising on second viewing - compared to a professional like Ola she lacked that feline quality and some of the transitions were a bit jerky. With a bit more practice that routine could be as spectacular as Rachel and Vincents.
Kara certainly has the ability |

Kara certainly has the ability But Ola's one of the reasons that the rumba makes me squirm, it's just so obvious, really thigh-clenching. That's what I liked about Kara's it was sensual and romantic without looking like she was being dry-humped (am I allowed to say that? ![]() )
