They've been promoting him since last year after he lost popularity following the John Sergeant affair. I'm convinced of it.

He and Pamela aren't quite getting the votes so the judges are giving them a helping hand. It's as if James won't have enough credibility unless he reaches a final or something....

Just my take on matters.

Just curious, have you actually personally seen the results of the phone vote, because you seem to know that they aren't getting the votes, thus need a helping hand from the judges.

I did add at the end of my post that it was my take on it.

Of course I haven't a clue what the actual phone votes are, but it's the only explanation I can find for the judge's overly generous scores. I think they are compensating for a lack of votes.

There is probably an element of wanting James specifically to be in the final - I'm sure they've overmarked them as a couple, and been over critical of other couples to highlight Pamela and John's performance.

I felt strongly last night that an X Factor element crept into the judges remarks - it's a wonder Matt was able to dance again today after some of the comments.

They're bigging Gavin up now as well, having torn him to shreds for weeks.

I object to the manipulation all round - Pamela and James are good but they've been overmarked week after week.

He tells us at every opportunity how competitive he is and how he only wants to win at everything - added to which his wife has won the series, so he's bound to be keen on the win!

The other contestants have been overmarked over the weeks, so it seems that they are being compensated for the lack of votes as well.

Every year we have the "it's a fix, it's a fix" posts. Very funny actually. I wasn't expecting any other threads on here tonight and the slating of Pamela and James was inevitable. Now I'm secretely hoping they will win, this forum will explode. I'll buy some popcorn and enjoy the ride.

Not as consistently and to the extent that Pamela & James have been I don't think.

I believe their Tango, American Smooth, Charleston, Swingathon and Quickstep were all over-marked.

They did, however, deserve a perfect score for their Viennese Waltz. I didn't see the stumble others did and I thought it was a very heartfelt performance indeed.

Why would the BBC want to push/promote 1 Pro over the others??

from earlier this year we can see that the BBC producers can be v ruthless when they want to be. I fail to see why they would favour a Pro who's been with SCD a number of years... they're not that nice to put it simply!

Look don't come up with logical answers. Please join in the conspiracy. Either the BBC is promoting Pamela because of Billy (don't know why, but lots of people think so) or it's because of James (don't know why, but there).

I think that they like Pamela's kitchen, it's the same as the country kitchen and thus they need to promote her

I will be happy if she gets into the final, tonight I agree with Alesha, she has been an inspiration, and although people think she is fake, she really didn't come across like that tonight.

Again, why would you use logic to defuse all these lovely conspiracy theories. Your spoiling the fun of so many people.

Can't get my head round a conspiracy theory, so is it fair enough if I say I just don't 'connect' with her ? I do find her a bit smarmy and I don't buy into her relationship with James.

But if I were a betting women, I'd have a tenner on her as a dead cert to be in the final

Well I'm pleased I found someone who agrees with me. In my case it's wine, but still the same thing. I could have predicted each single thread on here tonight. .

I voted for Pamela, actually partly based on the venom on here, but also because I enjoy Pamela and James' dancing. Just watching wipe out, oh no he didn't win it.

Unfortunately I can't vote from where I live. I knew the hate threads would come up as soon as they finished their routine. Hey,..so what else is new, it happens every year. You should think that people would learn over time.
I also really like the partnership between Pamela and James, and I feel that I have to defend her when I see those spiteful comments. I really should know better,..I know, but sometimes I can't help myself.

How do threads that question Pamela and James's marks equate to 'hate' threads?

I think that's a bit of an over-reaction.

Tonight I'm in rather a funny mood. I'm just expecting the "Gavin was so much better than Pamela threads". I enjoyed their quickstep, I also enjoyed Matt's tango (although his salsa was horrible). Regardless what everyone else thinks, Kara's rumba did not move me (watch Rachel's for something truly special).

I want Pamela in the final (don't want her to necessarily win), but by god the woman has guts!! I will try to be like this in 25 years!!

Sid I love you, but nobody said it was a hate thread. However, if you have a look at the forum, people on here are quite happy to hate Pamela and James for everything (even her shoes in the swingathon).

**and I do like all of the couples, well not Gavin and Katya anymore, because they are not that good and their VW was.
