Looks like they don't want matt to win the scoring tonight was rigged as were the comments, building pamela to keep her safe ... Kara a great dancer but no votes... scott not doing the tour so he will go tonight.. seen it all before.
Wouldn't be surprised if scott and Matt went
probably scott and gav though

I don't know why people assume Kara and Pamela have no fanbase and that Matt and Scott do. Pamela was right down the bottom for a few weeks in the middle, and was never in the bottom two.

Most people I know support Kara. I only vote in finals week and she'll get a vote from me.

Only twice has Pamela not been in the top three with the judges. Once was when the bottom two was Felicity and Tina, the other when it was Felicity and Michelle. Pamela didn't need huge votes to beat any of those three. Her popularity has never really been tested.

What's this programme got to do with the tour?

The producer and the "BBC1 suits" won't be bothered about the tour. What they will be bothered about is the ratings of "The One Show" when Matt joins it after Christmas, they'd dearly like him to win as they will think it'll give the programme a boost.
The tour is "small beer" compared with that.

I think that the BBC may well earn money from the tour, because they will be paid for the use of the format, as they are on all the international versions of the show.

Yes, but its importance "pales into insignificance" compared with a boost for the ratings of "The One Show."
There's that much competition amongst the channels even between those of the BBC which are run by different people, that the controller of BBC1 won't be worrying about a Strictly tour and in any event I think most people who go, wouldn't be too bothered if Matt were in our out.

Most of the evidence suggests Matt is hugely popular with the voting public (next week will be the test) - this is more likely to have helped him win the One Show spot than be responsible for any Strictly manipulation.

I think it's the other way round. They have Matt lined up for The One Show and they don't want him to win and go on tour, or they'd have to keep shelling out for temporary stand-ins for him.

I am wondering why so many people think Kara has little support. She's topped the poll on this forum (which has always been a good predictor of the final outcome) week after week and everyone I know who watches is supporting her.

I think it's just the assumption that the technically efficient pretty girl never gets any support. The major flaw being, Kara has far more personality than most of them did, and doesn't come across like a plank of wood.

I am pretty certain that the BBC execs have had Matt in mind as a stand-in presenter for the One Show, for longer than he's been on Strictly, and he has always been a popular presenter, from back in the early days of his career, right through to the present. Being on strictly, has done him no harm, but it certainly hasn't been the key to him taking the lead on the One Show.
