Ah, most people on the Nonappreciation thread are pussycats.

Although a few of us use it as a safety valve - believe me, you don't want me ranting outside of that thread.

We don't want you ranting inside the thread but we can't get rid of you. Bwahahahahahahahaha!

Ah I love the smell of moral superiority in the morning.

Actually, no I don't, I'm a bit hungover *churny*

Watch it you, or I'll resurrect a Motorway thread, don't think I won't

I don't know about 'hate and nastiness'. It's the 'suspicion and mass hysteria' whenever someone gets/doesn't get a 10 that I find difficult to understand. Everything is attributed to some massive conspiracy on the part of the BBC.

Yes there are some injustices, but ultimately the person of the receiving end of the injustice tends to benefit rather than lose out as the public vote groups behind them. Perfect 10s do not buy a glitterball.

I really dont think it is worse than in other years.

But I do constantly ask how you can 'hate' someone you have never met and know bu**ar all about

Is it just because the people who use such words are not very articulate and only know four letter words?

This isn't applicable to the Strictly contestants of course but it's entirely possible to hate someone you've never met. Hitler, Ahmadinejad, Bush, Amin, Barrowman - you know, the usual suspects

It's organic, it grows on the forum as the weeks go by.
I think it's all perfectly natural..in fact, it's almost the reason for the forum's existence. Nothing to worry about, everything is quickly forgotten..until the next time.

Don't quite follow your logic here - are not 'like' and 'love' also four-letter words?

Nice line in gratuitous insults though - well done. You'll make a Non-Appreciator yet.

I don't think there is any real hate out there. But if people insist on going on prime-time tv and dressing/behaving/looking like total plonkers then imo they are fair game for the mild name-calling and mickey-taking they get on here. There is always a counter-balance anyway - for every dastardly non-appreciator there is a nice, kind appreciator at work.

Also, it seems to me that the posters on here are far nastier to each other than they ever are about the contestants. Not quite sure what that says about us all though?

Goodness me, if you think it's been nasty on here this year you should have been here last year! I had to wear full body armour each time I logged on to defend my favourite! (Ricky W).

In fact, I think it's still in the back of my wardrobe if you wish to borrow it? I don't fit into it anymore due to the baby bump. *swings mace enthusiastically*

How can you mention such names in the same forum as Aliona Villain-ey who has single-handedly wrecked Matt's chances of lifting that glitterball?

You obviously don't know pure evil when you see it.

I thought that was Anton Du Beke?

My thoughts exactly. I often wonder what motivates people to post not about the show, or the judges or the competitors but other forum members, especially when accompanied by lots of finger-wagging from a lofty height.

Can't see the point in it myself.

He has been redeemed by performing lifts with Ann Widdecombe every week.

This post has no street cred due to missing out she-who-must-not-be-named.

Somehow I thought redemption would look prettier.

Ah well.

Thank you very much for leaking the result.

Did it ever occur to you that the reason there is a specific spoiler thread is because some FMs don't want to know the results until the results show?

Well done. Hope you're proud of yourself.

You seem to imply that it is unacceptable to liken Pam to a transvestite purely because her offspring have given birth. Baffling.

It was totally acceptable - she was dressed exactly like a Bad Transvestite that time. Totally apt for the occasion. Not sure why that particular moniker has struck a chord. She's been called plenty of other things over the weeks. As have all the others.

It seems to be common on the Internet, I always wonder if the writers behave like that in real life to people they actually know rather than someone that they nothing about apart from seeing a few appearances on TV and reading a bit of doubtful gossip.

Wiskas, don't be so nasty!!
A. No names given.

B. Many people have totally different ideas of who is best.

C. You should have ignored this post and allowed it to get hidden in the general mass of comments instead of highlighting it.

D. Hope you are now proud of yourself.

Digging down the geological strata to find the OP, I can only say that I thoroughly dislike the titles of many threads referring to Aliona and Pamela, and formerly Ann.

Surely we should stick the nastiness inside, not on top?
