I watched come dancing for first time, and was sad how much a joke Bruce F is now, same old catchline, really bad jokes, and you can tell he Reading the autocue all the time. Maybe he has had his time, just to old now.

An old dinosaur that should have been put out to pasture years ago.

love it if you like telling corny jokes like he does, for me he should jog on and let someone else host.

He's awful. Totally unfunny, awkward and he never knows when to shut up. And the problem is that for every one person who likes him, there's five who find him so bad that he spoils the show for them. The presenter should be more neutral and shouldn't be provoking such strong disliking by so many.
I have to guess he puts a lot of people off watching, young people in particular.

Tonight was an absolute low for Brucie. Never before has he been so bad. I'm all for keeping the familiar faces in as long as possible, but this should be his last season. Let him bow out before it get's even worse. If that is possible at all.

I doubt he puts people off watching.

He may be old, but I hope I can be that fit at 82.

He appeals to the older audience, and Strictly is aimed at a cross section of the publice, not just one section.

Hex Factory is always on offer if Brucie is above anyone age preference.

All presenters read autocues... He doesn't write his jokes....the catchphrases are what make all top comedians and game show hosts....The joke writers this weekend need shooting but Bruce didn't hire them .

What annoys me is that the producers seem to want to give Brucie time to tell his really bad jokes but during the series, this often means we only hear the comments of 3 of the judges.

I want to hear the judges NOT Brucie

just do what Alesha does. Sky+ it and fast forward over his (and Tesses) bits

I always wait until the show has been on for 10 minutes before I start to watch.

For the first time, I had the whole of the show on mute this evening. Mr Golden Syrup has become unbearable to listen to. He needs to be put out of his misery, otherwise the show will lose its loyal viewers in droves.

The jokes are written for him, so why are they so awful?

Haven't seen much of Bruce this year (thank God!). Either V plus it (and skip Bruce when we watch), or pause live TV at the start, come back 10 minutes later and FF through his (truly awful, poor taste and badly delivered) jokes.

Ah technology is a wonderful thing.

I recognise the names on the credits and they write for other funny people. Do they tone it down for Brucie?
