Worst X-Factor final EVER?
Last year's final was better no doubt. They should have done their audition songs instead of all those dull ballads. Sort of dragged down the opening a bit. Then the duets have been poor because the contestants fluffed up. Last year the overall standard was worse but the final was much better.
Got to agree it is cringeworthy and beat the cringe fest that was last years!

Thing is, last year was generally considered mediocre compared to past years', I think the end is nigh.
In a word...
Underwhelming.
I think Cowell needs to realise he doesn't always get it right.

I think Stacey and Buble were actually brilliant in comparison. It was like a proper duet and they had chemistry.
I didn't think much of the Saturday show last year though.
I think in general finals just don't work split across two nights and that might be a reason why it feels quite underwhelming.

Tell me about it. Shame about Eoghan but otherwise what a talented year.
The XF4 one was great because they at least sang Christmas songs and the duets actually had some interaction with them. Plus it was on one night for a change, none of this "two night, four acts" rubbish.
XF5 had an amazing duet (Beyonce/Alex) and generally good performances all round by JLS and Alexandra. Plus the series as a whole had been superb and I doubt that series will ever be matched in terms of talent.
XF6 was a big step down but again, the duets weren't bad and the performances all round were decent enough.
This year, though? Three dreadful duets, completely wrong performance order (Cher and Will.I.Am last over Rebecca/Xtina and Matt/Rihanna?), dreary atmosphere....
