Ooops - I have no idea who Sam Brown is! but my iTunes version is definitely Jamelia
Sam Brown was not only a solo artist but also a backing singer for Pink Floyd on their albums and tours.
She is also the daughter of Joe Brown, who had a string of hits in the late 50's early 60's with his group Joe Brown and the Bruvvers.

If Kara had kept her foot on the floor like Artem taught her then it wouldn't have been illegal. I like the slightly dangerous aspect to his choreography, it's what gives it the soul, I think. They have to dance on the edge and I would much rather that and they fail to get a 10 from Craig than they danced a safe dance and the passion and drama were missing.
I guess you have a point there. I am a little protective of Kara, having gotten very close to a silly school-boy infatuation, and sometimes a little jealous of Artem being sooooo close to her. Have to say they look good on the dance floor. I don't even care if he's gay in real life, but they really, truly sizzle on the dancefloor and that's so important for a true Strictly Champion partnership!

Artem has been a class act from the outset. Quite apart from his dancing and choreography, he has behaved very well. No fawning, no fun fun FUN! celebrity love-in in their VTs and a dignified approach to a lot of rumour (though silence would have been better imo).

I loved the fact he has always stepped back to let kara take the applause. I love the fact that he listens attentively to the judges, Tess and Claudia, but says very little; he doesn't give a lot away, but you can see he's no idiot behind those eyes. And I love the fact that, when, in the Tesspit, Kara was asked about whether or not she did lift her foot off the ground last week, whilst she hesitantly dissembled a little and said she didn't know, he said outright that she did, and said it was his fault.

Fact he has a stunning physique doesn't do any harm, of course, but it's the way he behaves that makes him that little bit special.

Awwww, that was nice and I so agree.

I also like the fact he's quite moody and shows it, he'd be great in bed but a flipping nightmare to live with!

I'm also one of the few that loved his slouching on the sofa on ITT. Make yourself at home Artem! I'm from a family of slouchers though, we all lay on the sofa.

Also think that his bewilderment at us Brits is just so damn adorable! He doesn't know whether to laugh at us or roll his eyes.

Yes, all that ... and his rippling washboard abs

Just kidding Very well said. It's the way he behaves on the dance floor and off it and the way he choreographs to put Kara front and centre. He's the last I would expect to flood his routines with self-promotion.

Fact he leant his teeth to stand in for the Flamborough lighthouse when the power was shut off after all that snow up in Yorkshire last week also made me go awwww!

Think we can persuade the producers of Strictly that he has to do ballroom and latin with no shirt

Although, strangely for me, I do think he looks beautiful in tails. OMG what's happening to me?

No hun, that was very clean for me! Who would have thought, me actually wanting him to put more clothes on.

My screen saver is Artem naked, it's just I keep forgetting it's his thumb on his thigh!

I think Artem would be very disappointed to learn you're confusing his tiny little thumb with .. ahem, something else

Artem has been outstanding this year. His choreography & showcasing of Kara have been a joy to watch.
He must be back next series.

Artem has choreographed the best dances throughout (okay Jive a bit below par) - some from the other pros have come along side too, I'm not totally Artem-struck.

I just think it's amazing the way he pushes Kara and yet always makes her shine - brings out her best and makes her look sensational.

Someone tweeted last night - sorry I can't remember who - that it was clever of Artem to have worn black last night so that he faded into the background (as much as such a handsome man can). I do think it's all about Kara for him, he's a class act.

A very good point - I've watched that rumba so many times now, including one where I tried to ignore Kara and just watched what Artem did. I know the rumba is all about showcasing the woman - which is one reason why male slebs find it so hard to shine in it - but he did a superlative job. It must be frustrating for the pros to have to work round their partners' faults and try to distract from their less than perfect dancing, so Artem has been given a gift in having a partner who he can let loose with confidence, as he did last night. She delivered that dance, but it was Artem's choreography that enabled her to do it.

This is the sign of a real creative talent - an artist, if you will. To be truly great creatively you have a certain confidence and arrogance but under that you have to respect and enough humility to listen to what other people have to say about your work and learn from it. I'm not saying that Artem will agree with the criticisms but he'd be a fool not to listen and take them on board.

I like the way you can see him comfort/reassure Kara when she's starts to confess or explain a 'mistake'. He knows that once you've done the work it's then your turn to take it on the chin.

Artem didn't appeal to me at all at first, I think it was the way he was being so balatantly touted as a piece of totty to spice up the show. It wasn't his fault, but it really put me off him. Over the weeks, though, he's increasingly come across an an intelligent, thoughtful and modest chap, and his dancing and choreography are wonderful and inspiring, ditto his and belief and trust in Kara.

I think you will find that he is most definitely hetero - are you confusing him with Robin, who danced with Patsy Kensit, he is gay?

It's also the little extra touches he brings to his dances that marks out his artistry. Last night's rumba being an excellent example. The point where Kara brings her face close to his (around 20 seconds in in the clip below), is just so poignant yet simple and not overdone. He and Kara truly are magical together.
