How does final work

I just can't remember! Is it purely down to public vote or do the judges score the final 3? Do they all do their showdance

Well it changed last year so who knows

Usually, even the couple out first get to do their showdance though for 'fun' anyway (not always wise - remembering Lisa and Brendan ).

Formats of the past have been:

Best Ballroom from series
Best Latin from series
Judges choice of music
Showdance

However, they haven't completed all their dances this year so maybe they'll do those instead. To be honest, I don't know.

Hmm...maybe it'll be the two dances they haven't done, plus their favourite dance from the series, plus their showdance??

The judges do score, but not all the dances!

Will be interesting because there are 3 in the final so the judges score can make a diff this year whereas previously despite the scoring with only 2 the public basically ahve all the say!

Having 3 in the final deffo benefits Kara!

I just hope judges don't fix scores so my fave celeb goes first. I think it should be just public vote

I think it'll be that too, although I would prefer it to be two of the fav dances, showdance and judge's choice. That way they'll be able to perfect the routines. If they have four new dances to learn, surely the quality will take a nosedive because the quantity of what they have to learn in a week is too overwhelming

Tess said there would be 4 dances, so that's all I know so far

Yeah but even in 3 couple finals, the person with the most votes from the public always wins. It's the second place position that's affected by the judges marks. For instance, a celeb who comes second with the public but bottom of the leaderboard will come third to a celeb who tops the leaderboard but is the least popular - that person comes second.

Aren't the judges votes in the final for guide purposes only? Don't think they actually count do they?

I don't recall the judges marks ever counting in a final, they normally make a big deal about how it's now all up to the public

Spoiler
Pamela did an article earlier this week where she said if she was in the final she would be doing AT.

I guess from that they will be doing one of the dances they have not yet done, but perhaps not both.

Which will work out well for Pamela, since the other dance she hasn't done is Samba!

In two person finals it doesn't matter what the judges do, because the public vote takes precedence. However in three person finals, the judges points do matter. The person who comes top with the public goes through to the final two no matter what, but the other person in the final two isn't always the second most popular with the public... e.g you could have
Celeb 1: 3 (judges) + 1 (public)=4
Celeb 2: 2 (judges)+ 3 (public)=5
Celeb 3 1 (judges) + 2 (public)=3
Celeb 3 comes third even though they were second with the public.

However once the final 2 is announced, it becomes on public vote only.
