BT Vision box
I cancelled BT Broadband so obviously can no longer get Vision. I was going to give my box to family to use as simply Freeview and to record.
My question is, today after the box has been disconnected for about a month I set it up just to make sure it was ok and would work as a Freeview box alone. But it didn't when I plugged it in all I got was a message saying welcome to BT Vision Please wait? I tried a couple of times a left it for a while Does the box not allow you to use it as just a freeview box

No, needs an active BT Broadband account AND an active BT Vision account just to use the box as a freeview box, never mind the PVR functions.
Without either, the box is basically a door stop. |
