well it's about time they cared about us rather than the people who are going to do the best business with them.

I hear what you say, but he-or his joke writer-are past it.

His 'singing' tonight was flippin' awful - WHY must we have that foisted upon us?!

I like him
Its a nostalgia thing
Maybe if you are younger you might not get him the same.

I thought he showed more empathy announcing the losers tonight than Tess has done all season.

She is too giddy and smiley and not "in the zone".

Lets hope you're as physically fit and game when you get to his age. I thought it was amazing that he could do that little bit of dance and then continue to sing.

Well I'm old enough to remember Bruce in his Generation Game heyday, so I think I "get" the nostalgia idea, but I agree with the OP that he is well past it now. I can only tolerate his presence on Strictly by pressing the mute button whenever he speaks. Please go, Bruce - you're not clever, you're not funny, you're painful to watch and you're embarrassing yourself as well as the audience.

We get this kind of post several times a year, every year. But I like him and the fact is he adds an element to the show which makes it different from all the other copies out there. It's a kind of marriage between 21st century reality TV and 1950's variety. Totally unique. And while many don't like it I strongly suspect that a lot more do.

I think Bruce is cringeworthy a lot of the time. However, I like him when he's not telling "jokes" or singing. He's definitely better than Tess.

Don't mind him singing, but I don't care for the jokes. I certainly think that the results show is far better with him there.

Someone should remind him that this is not the Bruce Forsyth Show. I cringe when he all but hangs out a sign to say that a 'joke' is coming up, and then virtually demands that the audience applaud it. He hasn't yet mentioned how he taught Sammy Davis Jr to dance, but I live in dread.
And don't even get me started on that illiterate bimbo.........
Happy Christmas!

I watched the results show tonight and have to say that imo HE is what is holding this show back along with Tess who seems kinda robotic and the old fashioned decor of the set. If they want to be as successful as DWTS they need to fix those 3 things (or two if you count Bruce and Tess as one).
it feels like people are treating him like they do an old dog and the participation in his gags is like they are throwing him a bone and going "awwwwhhh look at the doggy, who's a good doggy" Its time the old timer got sent to the kennels and stayed there.

Is that not what singers do when they sing in specific genres?

You don't normally hear people rapping in Home Counties accents do you?
