Was there a good reason....

that there wasn't time for Matt to have a proper interview? It was done with the other two that was eliminated but he didn't get the same spotlight as the other two girls?

That's how the show works I'm afraid. The producers thought it would cause more drama to leave Matt to the end before annoucing him as safe (not for the first time ), therefore he had a 'could be leaving' interview instead.

Bad organisation on the part of the producers, in my opinion.

I don't think you can read anything into it to be honest. They clearly wanted to leave the three guys up against each other at the end. Don't think it means a thing.

It is a bit unfair that both girls get more air time. Guessing Matt will be pushed into the middle next week as well to even it out

On the other hand the three boys (including Matt) had a VT shown of how much they wanted to be in the final which Kara and Pam didnt ....so its swings and roundabouts really

Kara didnt half as much as Pamela and as you say Matt didnt get anything,i wont be watching next year the bias is unbelievible(dont know if i spelt that properly)i love Kara and Matt they are the best dancers by far,but you would never think that if you listened to the judges, but i suppose they got through and thats all that matters.

Exactly.

With the greatest respect, I think a few of Matt's fans need to fix themselves a cocktail and chill out. I'm guessing that Friday's dramas will have done no damage to his public vote (quite the reverse, probably). I also suspect he was singled out in this way to take the sympathy vote away from Gavin (if so, the plan worked).

I think we all need to take a step back and remind ourselves that Strictly is a reality show and, like all reality shows, it's edited together in a such way as to create the maximum possible drama. 'Matt has a crisis!' ... 'Matt comes back!' It's the kind of narrative device familiar to anyone who watches the soaps and it's ruthlessly applied to SCD. If a contestant loses it and wells up (especially if it's a man) - go for the close-up.

So I'm sure Moira Ross would survey some of the comments from irate Matt fans with delight - they've all responded just as she would like. Plus more drama = more controversy = more media coverage. The press repeatedly refer to this series as 'rejuvenated' - more feathers in her cap. As far as the BBC is concerned, SCD8 is an unqualified success - so don't expect these tricks to disappear ... just get wise to them.
