Another strange bit of editing. We were told in the main programme that Jamie's last bus was at 3pm and he had no passengers. However, on the YF programme, they showed footage of him taking passengers through "London's Burning" and it was dark.

Hmmmmm, again another example of dodgy editing/fixing.

Did seem a bit odd. I assumed they had scheduled another for 5/6pm for one last chance at some business after the no-shows for 3pm, but it is strange that wasn't mentioned.

The tour lasted for two hours, and depending on the time of year the episode was filmed, part of the 3pm tour might have been conducted in the dark (if the sun set around 4pm).

But then that means the voiceover fibbed about no one taking up the 3pm tour.

Maybe they waited until 3:30pm to start and managed to round some people up?

I'm not clear when this was filmed - they were all wearing light clothing which suggests it couldn't have been winter but then it was dark at 5pm. Must have been a very mild November!

I noticed a few remembrance day poppies so must have been filmed November 2009, so if it was a 2 hour tour it would have been dark by the end

"After failing to fill their final tour" could be interpreted as failing to have a full bus, rather than failing to get a single customer.

I think they had a 3pm tour, it was partly in the dark at the end, and it had some customers but was not a full bus.

Yes, I agree.

I looks to me as if the whole sequence has been deliberately edited in such a way as to make it appear as though there wasn't a third tour (ie no tours at all after 3 pm for Jamie)

It's quite evident from the VT, shown on AYF, that there was indeed a tour after 3 pm, one that was still in progress after sunset (which, as has been said, would have been after 4 pm, if the task was shot around the first week of November (2009)).

I did see both programmes but I hadn't noticed Jamie on the tour bus when it was dark...and what that implied, until I read this thread

The language used in the narration was just ambiguous enough that it wasn't an absolute lie...but I think it was the programme makers' intention to mislead the audience into thinking that Synergy had only completed two tours...whereas Apollo had completed all of their.

I was a little surprised that Joanna team won by so much when the results were read out, because I was mislead into thinking they only did two tours...and of course they had to give the tourist centre 20% of "global earnings".

I had thought the whole of the BBC had been re-educated, at great expense, to stop them being so tricky

Well up in Yorkshire last year I had tomato plants in flower up until the middle of November.

I've watched every series from the beginning and I'm not surprised by this, it is edited every week to make it look as though one team are ahead and one behind - it is usually the one you least expect that wins the task. Its all for entertainment, you can't really take it seriously at all.
