It makes me so sad, reading all these articles that mention about joe possibly being dropped. Read this one this morning.
Simon Cowell has reportedly signed X Factor finalists Cher Lloyd and Rebecca Ferguson to his Syco record label, meaning all four of the finalists now have a deal with the music mogul. With Cowell’s label looking to get rid of previous contestants who continue to flop – such as Joe McElderry and Shayne Ward – there is lots of room for new talent.
It’s not the first time that all of the finalists have been signed by Cowell, back in 2007 Simon signed winner Leon Jackson as well as runners up Rhydian Roberts and Same Difference. However in what may be an ominous sign to this year’s contestants, all of the acts were dropped from the label after less than three years.
According to the Daily Star however, Simon has never been so impressed with the finalists before. A source told the newspaper: “Simon’s always said he wants feisty characters who know what type of artist they are.
“And he certainly has that in Cher, Rebecca and One Direction.”
The paper claims that Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.i.am will help out with Cher’s album, becoming the record’s creative director.
We reported yesterday on how 1 Direction are set to sign a £1 million deal with Simon’s label.
I really hope this is untrue and that 2011 will be Joe's year!
and Cher gets it in the neck all the time and as for Cheryl-that's a blood sport! I've seen quite a lot of measured posts and alot of it I actually agree with, especially the general Syco bashing - don't mind that at all
