Favourite move or step of the series?
Boulder Hill

As we near the end of the series, everyone has their favourite performances and dances.

Are they any isolated moves or steps though that really stick in your mind? Little sequences that really made you think "wow".

There are a fair number for me but I would say my top 3 are:

1) Kara's cartwheel in her salsa that continued right the way round and slid between Artem's legs,

2) Matt's backward somersault off the judges' desk. Totally a gimmick... but what a gimmick!

3) The second lift in Matt's American Smooth - the one with Aliona on his back, both of them appearing to walk in slow motion. Not the most tecnically difficult but I found it very emotive.

What moves have stuck in your minds?

The opening of Kara's Argentine Tango when she flicks between Artem's legs and places the hat upon his head.

Oddly enough it was Gavin little quicksteppy thingy he did a week ago ,No idea what its called but for me it showed how far he had come and I loved that he did it .

Several of the steps in Kara's AT. That's the stand out dance of the series so far for me.

Matt's footwork in the quickstep.

The slick prop work in Scott's jive (although I hate the props, they used them well)

I can't believe she did that! It's my favourite move ever on strictly.

I also liked in their AT when Kara spun across the stage toward Artem then did that leg split thing.
And the VW with the series of opening outs with Kara spinning away from him with her head tilted down.
I really liked the opening to their jive as well and the bit with Len even though it was so cheesy.
And the bit when she kicked her leg up behind her in the paso.
And the tango with the 'chairography'.
So many genius moments in Artem's dance, it is actually hard to remember them all.

OT but did anyone else feel slightly dizzy when the camera zoomed in for a close up near the start of their rumba?

The one in bold - I've seen it many times now and each time it makes me gasp. The trust she must have had in Artem because it could have so badly gone wrong. Absolutely amazing and as someone else said, it's my favourite move from every series.

I loved the move in Kara's AS where Artem held her back while they spun around (a rubbish description but its at around 2:41 to 2:47 on here http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-RUKCeoUgb8)
I thought it was beautiful (then again the whole dance was gorgeous )

Those two and the spinning away from Artem, in the VW.

This.

That and the triple flip-flaps. I hope Matt goes for about 15 in the final, all the way round the dance-floor, spelling out his name in cursive.

The whole of Kara's AS and Scotts Jive. Gavins hips in the Cha Cha. Kara turns in the VW with her head on one side. Her cartwheels in the Salsa.

Kara and Artem's Rumba - from about 39 secs to 45 secs (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQLODYQBVJg): fantastic spins ending with Kara with her legs split then coming back up: Absolutely sublime!!

Bota fogo - I have no idea what it is or if anyone did one, but I love the name

Yep! Matt's footwork in the Quickstep, the solo part with tails flying, and the difficult bouncy parts in hold, and his lovely smile as he does it - for me this is the most fun to watch -
(plus the salmon pink of Aliona's dress is the best of all clashes with her hair, and I can't think of a better choice of music). Thought their Foxtrot, Charleston, and ChaChaCha were great too.

Up there with Matt's Quickstep for me is Kara's Viennese Waltz - every second of it, whereas her American Smooth, also stunning, had more actually gasp-worthy moments. I could go on ...Artem's choreography is ever-gorgeous. Like Artem himself.

James & Artem's rhumba without a shadow of a doubt.

Lots in Kara's rumba and Pamela's VW, Matt doing the backflip of the judges desk, the ending in the Samba. Kara's two cartwheels in the salsa, Pamela's floor spin recovery in the Salsa

Worst move the end of Ann's Samba where he spun her round and we saw up her skirt.

I loved that move! I described it at the time as if she were walking through treacle and I totally 'got' that the dance was about struggling in New York. WTF the judges were going on about I have no idea - I thought it was a great dance and you've picked my stand-out moment from it.

The other one that tears at the heart-strings every time is the bit in Kara and Artem's rumba where she rushes to him (beautifully lampooned by James and Artem today ) and he clutches her to him, with his hand clenched in emotion, and then opens his fingers tenderly to hold her head. How brilliant is that? Sigh.

All those little accents in Kara's rumba. Ever so subtle and well placed in the music. Right before she goes into her last spin and slides her legs together with her left leg caressing the right one and Artem holding her stomach so gently...right in time with the guitar riff.

Breathtaking just breathtaking
