Was Liz really from Birmingham ?
I couldn't hear a brummie accent at all in her voice; sounded as if she was definitely from up North somewhere

Depends what part of Birmingham yes was from, we don't all speak with a strong accent.

According to the Apprentice home page, her hometown is Birmingham but other sites give her location as Lancashire. Perhaps she was born in Brum and now lives in Lancashire, or the other way round? That would explain the hybrid accent (which is a bit like my West Yorkshire with an overlay of Brummie
)

I know someone who was in the same year at school as Liz - and it was a school in Birmingham.
