I think it is self indulgent, cynical pap that has more to do with them getting "revenge" than it is for any charity.
"I don't want to do cover versions. Boo hoo" Yeah, not much. |

Steve Brookstein, the 1st X Factor winner... you know- the one who said no to Mr C and didn't sell out.
![]() Covers are fine if they're done differently and not obvious choices Ardwark. Seriously... I'm a fan, thats why I post about him so much- what's your excuse? Please, feel free to step away from the Steve threads.

Maybe you should post about him in the history section instead of littering the X Factor Forum about him since he doesn't want the association, particularly today when this winner's single has been released.
Brookstain had his chance and blew it. He couldn't come up with the goods of his own material despite being given the opportunity to do so. Then given the option of releasing further covers he wouldn't do that either. As dumb as they come and not especially talented either. He only lives and breathes this time of year. Completely shameless. He can sell his single at cafes. Promoting it on here on the day of the new winner's release is bitter and spiteful. Please feel free to promote the has-been that never was elsewhere.

Steve was given the chance to write his own stuff and it WAS his fault why he did covers because it took so long for him to write a decent tune. End of. |

Typical Brokestein trying to steal someone's thunder by releasing a koroke version of a gem song the same day as the x factor winner's single released.
He did the same to Joe last year with RATM. |

So take a look at him now. He's just an empty place. His career coming back to him is against all odds and that's what he has to faaaaaace...

This is only going to confuse Matt fans rushing out to buy his new record. Two self-pitying miserable kicked-dog old geezers with depressing records out at the same time... Those HMV vouchers from Nana will only go so far you know...

Bitter and disgrunteld pub singer who blew his chances.
What has stopped him from writing his own material over the last few years if he is so good at it???? |

I really like this version and will be purchasing a copy.
I won't be buying Matt's as I'm really not keen on the song although I adore matt. I'll wait and buy his album. |
