Does anyone else think it would be great to have an It Takes Two after the final???

No, much of the appeal of ITT is the anticipation of next week's show and the work that's going into it.
After Sunday night, most will have had enough of it, but some will keep it going on here until the next series starts again.

YES deffo..

I think this year on year. Be great to get them all back and have a 'best of' one hour special. See what happened with the glitterball afterwards.

Come on beeb - you know it makes sense!

Yes deffo! I would love to see this

I did mention this on the BBC Strictly Facebook page and was told there will be an interview with the winning couple put on the BBC website after the final. I think thats the closest to an ITT edition we're gonna get, but I would love to see behind the scenes clips too though!

Excellent idea!

It would only need to be a one off on the Monday and concentrate on a review of the final itself with none of the sillier features!!!

Would be nice to see it round of the year's SCD competition in this way!

Yes, but we've been asking for this for years and never got. It's a great shame that we never get to hear from the winners or the losing finalists after the event.

Exactly. Like the behind the scenes and then Karen commenting on the choreo.

One more night would hardly hurt, though.

I've always thought an hour long special post-final would be a good idea. It would make the winning couples interview so much more personal than the ones they do for the media world elsewhere., imo.

There's a lot they could do with it too, between interviewing the winners, the other finalists and playing the best bits montages (of the couples and Strictly/ITT on a whole)

One of the sad thing about the final (apart from the fact it's the last one of the series) is that there's so little time between the winner being announced and Bruce and Tess declaring the series over that we don't get to hear much from the winning couple. Or when we do, they're normally extremely emotional. A post-fnal interview, once they've had chance to digest it a little more would be quite special, imo.

I can see where people would fear it would fall flat, but I don't think they'd have much to lose. After all, those that don't want it wouldn't have to tune in.

.

Actually I think they are usually interviewed on BBC breakfast. ( they certainly did with Matt and Alesha ) However this is nowhere near enough! Agree with the OP, extra ITT would round things off nicely, hour long special to interview all finalists, behind the scenes, analysis from Karen..........sorry I got over excited.

I think in Series 3 the final was on 17th and ITT continued until the night of the Christmas Special on the 22nd.

Even just one show after the final would be great, but as others have said, we say this every year.

It's a nice idea, but actually it's probably best that our last memories of Strictly 2010 are of the winners holding aloft the glitter ball and celebrating with the other couples, the judges and the audience.

I think a winner's ITT would be a bit flat after that.

I was just thinking that today- as I do every year. It's a weird sort of step off a cliff feeling after the final with no proper closure: the final credits roll & BAM, that's it till September?! Ugh, almost enough to stop you watching in the 1st place!

I know this isn't post final, but is the last ITT before the final usually an hour long or is that just happening this year Sorry for changing the topic slightly

I think this every year. The winners are the only ones who don't get an exit interview, it sucks. We just get an interview with them on BBC breakfast usually and the presenters on that are among the smuggest shits in the human race. I hate them. Give us a winner's ITT with Claudia Beeb!

Yes! Yes! Yes!
And behind the scenes footage, please! I've loved the sneaky peaks we've been getting every Monday.

Where do I sign, I want a Finale ITT!

It would probably have to be pre-recorded on Sunday because I suspect that many of the people have plans for Christmas week and might be going off in different directions. But a recording on Sunday might be difficult to arrange for some of the people and I don't think many would want to hang around on Saturday night! Claudia could do some interviews after the show though and there could be enough to make into a programme with anyone that is available.

There is only some rubbish on BBC2 at 18:30h on Monday so they could easily put it there.

The One Show is off all week so there is only the breakfast programme for people to appear on.
