Apparently last years first round casualty Martina Hingis has married in France. Well done Martina and have a very contented married life.

Aw that is nice Last thing I heard she was engaged to about her fourth tennis player

I always thought it was a shame she went so early last year.

agree, she went out far too early in the expense of Joe Calzaghe and Craig Kelly.

Me too. Good luck to her- if only Jennifer Capriati could find someone decent to make her happy as well ...I know, a bit off topic!!

decent girl who deserves all the happiness. Flamin' fix that she went out first.

Was stupid Len's fault that she went out first in the first place.

Hope that she can become a tennis counsellor to give tips to people to improve their game.

Congrats to Martina - I've always had a soft spot for her.

Flaming Len, saving wooden Wilding over her.

Didn't it cost a small fortune to sign her up for the show?

She didn't try at all - just pocketed the money, turned up on the night and didn't mind that she went out straight away. She was a disgrace:yawn:

Don't agree - she DID try, danced OK, and could have become quite a good dancer if she had been given a chance, and that's not just my opinion

She was anything but a decent girl in her youth - but that was a long time ago and perhaps she has matured into a decent woman.

Where's the evidence for that?

More importantly, for me, I had high hopes that Roger Federer would sign up for SCD once he hangs up his racket. Martina's exit put paid to any hopes of that happening!

Being booted out at the expense of Rav was Karmic Kumuppance for a rather appalling display of sportsmanship at the French Open in 1999, when beaten by Saint Steffi, the Goddess of shapely lower limbs.

I was sad to see her go, as she'd mellowed a lot, as most folk do from teenagers to late twentysomethings!

Well, let's compare and contrast - Roger's been at the top of his game since a young age, won endless titles, stayed cool, level-headed and polite about every other player, and is generally revered.

Martina reached the top at a young age, retired, came back, retired, has been rude about loads of people and got herself mixed up with a cocaine scandal.

I wouldn't expect Roger to make the same mistakes as Martina if their tennis careers are anything to go by – and I'd certainly expect him to be a great dancer

Jade was quoted as saying she was ill running up to her first dance - but didn't make a big fuss.

Martina actually had food poisoning on the day of the show - but respect to her, she did not mention it at all, and did the dances.

I wish her well in her marriage - like Tall Paul says, hope she has a happy life!

Unfortunately she was the 'foreigner' with no fan base. She was very promising. Pity.

Roger doesn't need the exposure of reality tv - though I think he'd have made a far better 007 than Scott!

Roger is only polite when he wins, when he loses - Oh My!

Indeed he would. None of the sports personalities who take on SCD need the exposure though - they must do it for other reasons. The money?(he certainly doesn't need that), the challenge? Who knows.
