agree, he thinks the show is all about him. We need to get him out of office sharp.

Out of interest, is there anybody you don't want sacked?

It's just Len hun if you read Paul's posts. He does feel rather passionately about the subject.

I actually quite like Len, the problem is he's supposed to be the sympathetic judge (he was when it was Arlene there), Bruno was the left field judge and Craig and Arlene were harsh, but now you have Craig being fair, never mind harsh and the other 3 who only seem to have 9 and 10 paddles. It needs a better balance.

Based on this, I think Len and Bruno have the most to answer for when it comes to favouritism. If the judges are there to score the technical and dance element of the show, Len scoring Pamela as the equal of Kara is debatable and Bruno scoring Scott as the equal of Kara is ludicrous (in my opinion of course!).”

Sorry that does not compute. Len & Bruno have least to answer for as Craig and Alesha favour Kara where as Bruno & Len match another dancer.

Of course it could just be that it's not favouritism but their professional opinion.

Now that you put it this way, yes, that's very agreeable.

So... should Len be sacked...

...or given a life couch to change?

And that's what happens, because of the judges's scores people just remember the scores rather than the actual dance (not saying this is true in your case, just in general). It happened with Lisa Snowdon, people remember her as a great dancer because she must have been good with those scores, right? Well no, she was probably only great in the VW and waltz, everything else was pretty poor imo.”

You have a point as I am certainly no dancer and from an aesthetic point of view I thought the Charleston andf QS that you mentioned were messy. So yes, it is very possible I am relying too much on judges scores rather than my own eyes. I did think Pamela's salsa was fab though, despite the "throw Granny off the floor" move

Have you forgotten Paul's Sack Moira, Get rid of Bruce and Tess and Move aside Alesha campaigns? Oh if it were only Len

I can't believe that a professional opinion (i.e. one that scores the dance on its technical merit and quality) would score Pamela and especially Scott the same as Kara over the course of twelve dances. Both are good dancers but nobody has had the consistently high standards of Kara (and I say that as a Matt fan!).

I cant see how anyone can have faith in these judges.

Len used to be the go-to guy. Way back, he used to try to mark it as a dance contest, and you would get regular constructive advice from him. Now, he gives Ann a 7 and Gavin a 9. Acts of extreme benevolence, not judging. Occasionally we see the old Len, but now he is very inconsistent.

Craig is the most consistent and seems to try harder to differentiate based on the dancing. He seems to have read up on ballroom and latin to at least educate himself to judge better. He also is the only one to use the full range of scores, which is essential when differentiating between 12 dancers.

Bruno's decisions depend a lot on Bruno. He doesn't seem to judge on anything other than his own experience as a dancer, and his own mood.

Alesha is judging based on limited experience. She also isn't very objective in assessing the dancing. I dont blame Alesha for taking the job, but they shouldn't have offered her the job.

I think very few people have a high opinion of the judges, and I cant see how the pro dancers could, so I'm not surprised that Brendan finds it hard to contain himself and Aliona sees the funny side of it.

I only thought it was fab because of the "throw Granny on the floor" move

And I forgot about Paul's other campaigns. But you have to admire his spirit. He's also more than half right as far as I'm concerned, it's time to retire Bruce and the new producer hasn't been 100% successful. I'd even be more than happy to see the back of Tess if they can think of a more subtle sidekick (not gonna be hard that one, is it? )

After her bashing last year Alesha has discovered that giving out high marks is the road to popularity. And who can blame her?

I wonder if Pamela scored a first? An error that actually added to the dance rather than detract from it

Bruce has been great (over the SCD years) but I wouldnt be sad to know this was his last series. As much as I don't like Tess's (tv) persona, I think we need some familiarity so wouldnt like them both to go simultaneously. Tess can go later

Moira hasnt been 100% successful, I agree, but there have been improvements. If she can take on board the things that havent worked - prolonged use of tricks, lifts and props, dull results show - and sort them out for next year then I am more than happy for her to stay.

As for Len, despite the controversial marking at times I would hate to see him go.

All in all, I guess I half agree with Paul too.

My previous post should have been on another thread, sorry.
(I wondered where it had gone )
