Sick of Christmas songs already!
Just a mini-rant - All I hear is the same songs every time I switch on music channels or walk into shops! We had VH1 on just now and they were playing the same songs as the other day! It's mad how they play the same old stuff every year. I'm a bit bored of 'em and it's not even Christmas yet!
Phew, glad to get that off my chest Anyone else feel the same about Christmas songs?

On the whole, I've avoided them with the exception of going shopping where you can clearly see the frustration on the staff's faces!

I have to say, i enjoy listening to them as it reminds me of christmas day when I was younger. But yeah, some are waaay over played.
Particularly Last Christmas, and All I Want is You which seem to be on non-stop. Shame you don't hear the one by the Darkness anymore. I never liked it at first, but a few years on and it sounds great. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-eslNwGXrI |

Shops usually have a playlist on rotation when it's not Christmas and that'll get annoying enough, but at least it's a variety of stuff. However, at Christmas they'll have the same hour or so playlist on loop. After 8 hours working I could imagine that gets very annoying.

I'm sick of "Do They Know It's Christmas"
Slade "Merry Christmas" All I Want for Christmas Is You It's very annoying, a year is too short when they play them over and over every year. |

There are some that are ridiculously overplayed. If I hear Slade or Wham one more time I'll smash my radio!
That said, at Christmastime it does give you the opportunity to hear some of your favourites: my two Xmas guilty pleasures are Little Drummer Boy by David Bowie and Bing Crosby and.. uhh.. A Spaceman Came Travelling by Chris de Burgh (best thing he's ever recorded?) |

best to watch when they play their Q anthems to stay clear of christmas songs as I found out yesterday when they played the new song by the killers and it started with a clip of it's a wonderful life and then some sort of christmassy jingling through it..I was quick to jump for the remote..fastest I've moved this year
