HO - King Of Hearts tonight @ 10pm on C4
'King of Hearts'
Airs on Wednesday, December 15 2010 22:00 GMT on Channel 4 Jacqui persuades Rhys to cheat at Brendan's illicit poker game in order to raise the £2,000 for Kathleen, but hides the reason why she really needs the money. Their plan is foiled, however, when Danny finds them cheating and the hapless couple find themselves in terrible danger. Helpless, Jacqui pleads with Danny not to hurt Rhys when his heavies threaten to harm him and dangle him out of the window. Jacqui's forced to tell Rhys why her family are in trouble and need the money and he is floored. Not one to let an opportunity slide, Danny decides to play a game. He will wipe their debt and give them the money for the McQueens' for one night with Jacqui. Will she accept his indecent proposal? Jacqui and Rhys fail to come up with a plan to get their hands on the cash until Brendan mentions that there is one way - they could rob Danny. Gilly, Rhys, Kathleen and Myra start to put a plan into action. Meanwhile, terror ensues as Carmel and Theresa fail to convince Jacqui that she can't go through with Danny’s proposition. She believes it's the only way for Rhys not to get killed, but she quickly regrets it when she's forced to strip at knife point. Elsewhere, Rhys and Gilly kidnap pretty drug runner Sophia in the hope of stealing Danny's money. However, when they're distracted, she turns the gun on them. Who will save Rhys and Gilly now? Will they live to regret their amateur plan? Will Jacqui go through with Danny's indecent proposal and shed the last of her dignity to save Rhys? And will Rhys escape Sophia and get the money in time to save the woman he loves? Sounds exciting!! Any other spoilers on this guys? |

Looking forward to it besides Darren Day and Donna Air but Claire Cooper and Andy Moss are excellent so it should be good.
Although everytime I see Rhys hanging above that clock it reminds me of Doc Brown from Back to the Future!

Really looking forward to it - way more than Later. Probably because Jacqui, Rhys, Brendan and Cheryl are some of the best characters on HO right now (or any era really). I'll pass over Gilly

I quite like that there is not really any spoilers for this. I like suspense! I love Jacqui but when ever she speaks in her northern accent she reminds me of 'tanya' from Ideal, she almost sounds stoned.
I take it she has a southern accent originally. See here about 1.48 mins in. |
