It's still a business whichever way you look at it. She not being lazy, doing nothing at home, she's out there working for herself. More should follow her example.

I suspect not, good luck to him, it would have been a dull series without him.

The finals are usually dull. I will watch it but the fun is over for another year or so.

Yeah yeah. And I had a business when I sold my old CDs to Cash Converters.

Stella must be the weakest finalist in the show's history.

She's definitely one of the blandest.

Who seemed to ace the interviews better than anyone.

She was like an ELIZA program doing a Turing Test.

Sorry, but there's a huge difference between selling stuff to a shop and running a business!

Have you ever been self-employed, taken out the correct Public Liability Insurance, prepared your accounts, dealt with HMRC, completed tax returns and stayed on the right side of all the Rules and Regulations?

And no one has proved that Joanna has done more than go out and take money for cleaning a house.

I have been watching for for only a couple of seasons, so I can't comment on the early ones, but wasn't there another very weak corporate candidate in the year the Lee won? The one four way final? I seemed to remember thinking, why is she in the final?
However, I do agree that Stella is weaker that she seems to be perceived here and on You are fired. I thought a Chris/Joanna final would have been better.

I'm sure she has done more than that, but even if that was the case, my earlier question still applies. She would still be self-employed with all the implications!

You seen to have an odd attitude to people who clean houses for a living. I wouldn't want to do it. Would you?

If that was the case (Joanna just being a cleaning lady) then they would have grilled her in the interviews about that, as she has been throughout out the process saying that she was in charge of a company. The fact that they did not question about it rather than taking that business further proves to me that she is indeed running a cleaning business rather than being just a cleaning lady.

Well said!

My daughter-in-law cleans houses to help support herself and my disabled son. It can be an absolutely minging job, and it's bloody hard work.

And she has all the accounts & tax returns to deal with as well. It's certainly not a walk in the park, but it's an honest way to earn a living
