Little Britain was quite successful in Australia and they toured the live show there as well. I imagine Come Fly with Me would do quite well there.

It looks like ITV will be having a bumper autumn in terms of high-scoring drama, with a possible lineup of:
Downton Abbey - Sunday
Doc Martin - Thursday
Benidorm - Friday
It might be foolish to have Doc Martin and Benidorm - both comedy dramas - on at the same time only one day apart. Having said that, they both appeal to different audiences.
Using Doc Martin and Benidorm as anchors, ITV could certainly create a comedy-drama rota on Thursday nights - alongside filler entertainment like Paul O'Grady Live.
Friday's, as I've said before, is not a good day for anything - overall viewing is down, particularly among younger viewers which ITV strives for - so why not go ABC1 crazy and have some classic drama between 8pm-10pm.
It shouldn't cost much, and it won't do any harm to ITV's reputation - ITV3 dramas on Friday and Saturday's often get over 1m.
Downton Abbey will anchor Sunday nights, but if Doc Martin moves to Thursday - what else can? Lewis has a lot of mileage, but I do think Sunday (despite Fudd's reservations) should be given the soap treatment.

Millionaire has also been on for an eternity maybe Andy is sour that Millionaire is nearing the end of its natural while Weakest Link is still a viable show. Staggering considering the ratings Millionaire had at its peak.

While not amazing, the calibre of Celeb on IAC is generally a bit better. IAC also has the added benefit of A&D hosting. Schofe is really out of his depth on this.
I try to watch DOI every year but it just feels so cheap. This year more than ever. It was rushed to air as ITV's version of Strictly which meant it started with many faults and even with it becoming a mild success they haven't done much to smooth the rough edges since. Having only three judges one of whom is a former Spice Girl who knows bugger all about ice skating just shows the chav appeal of the show. At the start of the show when the 'celebs' skated out to the cheesy music - which took about 15 minutes since there's so many of them - I was cringing. I think I recognised about four of them. In their wisdom ITV decided two people would be voted out on the first show and ironically for them it was two of the few names people would recognise from the line up!

Is My Family really on its last legs? The xmas special finished up with 6.4m viewers which for a sitcom is very good. Particularly one that many people feel is past its best. And that was up against Corrie which had 10m on ITV1. While it's getting ratings like that, My Family will continue as long as Wanamaker and Lindsay are prepared to keep making it.

It was awful, repetitive and went on far too long. Viewers voting for the 'unknowns' is proof that they know who they are and they are the ITV reality/ soap fodder. The ratings will be interesting. Post Christmas Sunday night TV seems very uninspired at the moment.

Good ratings for DOI. With HD that is probably its most watched Sunday launch ever. WaH and TSNS also started solidly. BBC1 held up well.

I caught That Sunday Night Show after DOI and it was surprisingly OK and it definitely has potential. The guests last night worked really well and if it can pull in 3m+ with a DOI lead in then it could do really well with a Saturday night BGT/XF lead in.

Super rating there for the FA Cup. Unsurprisingly good evening for ITV, but credit to BBC for still having 6m until 9pm. Phillip Schofield says its the highest launch rating since Series 1.

It's a shocker of a show.Truly shocking and unintentionally hilarious. I don't think I've seen anything quite so tacky in a long time. Well since Celebrity Wrestling. I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it but I will continue to watch whenever a good laugh is needed.

Have to say I do find DOI terrible...but ITV do seem to back their shows, it did OK in its first series the figures slowly built but ITV supported it, brought it back, created some momentum and now it's the start of year entertainment staple. The BBC could learn from this.
The first show did a lot better than expected (avg prediction was 8.4m) but the second actually did slightly worse. (avg prediction 7.5m)
That's a hefty drop off anyway between the two shows.

The first series of DOI was the highest rating talent show series of recent times when it was broadcast. It has dipped since.

The gap between the two shows was about 700k smaller last year, going by the above figures. Just saying.

This might sound daft but maybe its because in the first show there is a possibility for the "celebrities" to fall and make a full of themselves. In the second showing, if everyone skated ok the first time, theyre probably likely to skate ok the second time. What they really need is another Todd Carty! And I think from last nights costumes they (ITV) were hoping it would be Steve Arnold!

Perhaps suggesting (re Chiles) that he is not a Breakfast TV presenter but is suited to a later time of day ?
