Thanks for those. Whilst some of those may look a bit low they'll repeat well. Also the soaps clearly harm it as Wednesday's episode did well and Broadcast reports that Monday's episode actually did better on +1 where it got 282k, meaning that it's total was a much better 509k. I suspect something similar may have happened on Tuesday and Thursday.

Regarding Coronation Street, the business over the "fourth death" may have caused some viewers to end their temporary interest.

Also, the Champions League draw has handed tough ties to Arsenal and Tottenham. Arsenal particularly with Barcelona.ITV will no doubt be pleased these two are not the biggest audience pullers.

The only time it looked like picking up in Australia was when it had the MasterChef lead-outs. A few episodes during 2009 rated close to 1 million because of this.

Poor lead in choice is why Neighbours is suffering. home and away seems to get a strong lead in despite its ratings dropping

that wont chance, Neighours will still have The Simpsons as lead in, on ELEVEN.

Not much has been made of the possible Big Brother Australia return on ELEVEN. It does have the most flimsy evidence on the planet (a youtube video with the theme playing in the unused studio), but there has been some rumours of it coming back. I remember the hosts said on the final ever night - 'we will be back, don't worry' and the last words of the show were 'that's all....for now'.

Personally, I think it's 90% wishful thinking and 10% possibility. And I'm all for wishful thinking

ive not heard this, it wouldnt hurt for ELEVEN to have a big headline show in primetime, a few years ago Big Brother may have been the right choice, not now however

as for the videos, and this is pure speculation on my part, but at one stage there was talk of people being able to rent the UK Big Brother house for parties, could this be what is happening in the videos?

Meanwhile has TEN considered some form of MasterChef: Extra, for ELEVN?

Or something like "Dine with MasterChef" where format Master Chef contestant, take part in a Come Dine With Me type show. You could also do a show where Celebrities are paired with a Master Chef contestant, and they do a dinner party together.

Well the videos showed music playing on the interview stage, not the house, they're very seperate, the HMs used to have to get in a car to get from one to another. If 11 had a good structured schedule, it would get off to a great start.

The Masterchef idea is certainly a good one, and would gain good ratings.

It was a lot better than the UK version. No game plans, ridiculous twists, filmsy production, it was managed well and let the HMs create the drama, not have it manufactured by the producers.

That was a bad rating for Royle verity.

Very good rating for Coronation Street, if it weren't against the Royal Variety performance then I think it would have been 10 million+.

Tonight I am expecting around 10- 11 million for both episodes.

EastEnders was hurt by the lack of audience watching at 7.30 seemingly. The share was good but the figure low. Coronation Street did well, but Collison took liberties with the tagline and I do wonder if that'll backfire. The Royal Variety Performance did well considering it was up against 60 minutes of soap.

I adored Survivor. I never understood how it or The Mole didnt catch on. Both series were ace. Again I dont get why the BBC havent pushed Last Man Standing either. Again a brilliant show.

I'd say that it was a decent rating considering it clashed with Coronation Street and Emmerdale. If BBC1 put it on Wednesday or this weekend it would have gotten 9-10 million I think.

Good strong ratings for the soaps last night, especially Coronation ST seeing as that's without HD. That is very low rating for Peep Show though, I thought it had risen above 1 million last week.

Due to the large amount of snow across the heavily populated southern/central areas of the UK today, I think the Strictly Come Dancing final could go nuclear tonight! I could maybe see it heading towards 15million, what do others think?

Really bad for Channel 4 again

I also think it'll get a big rating tonight. Without the snow, I predicted 13.8m on the RPG for the final results show. That prediction was based on previous ratings boosts that SCD finales have experienced. The snow will push it up further. It's come at the perfect time for the BBC's Big Weekend!


Yeah. Pretty bad that The Million Pound Drop came bottom in its slot out of the 5 terrestrials! The Event and Peep Show rated poorly too.

Also I notice The Mentalist on C5 did really well last night after some underwhelming ratings in recent weeks. And a fantastic rating for The Graham Norton Show on BBC1 - an all-time high for the 2nd week in a row.

Coronation Street is really on a ratings roll. What they managed to do it seems with the post tram crash episodes is have some really strong episodes that have kept people hooked. EastEnders lost momentum after the live episode I seem to remember. But I'm old and the memory cheats!

Yeah, from memory that's HIGNFY's highest rating of the year. I also can't remember any episode last year getting 5.88m or more, though I could be wrong.
