All I remember him saying, is he started up his own business and has made all his money with very little help, he has lots of ideas and he would make Sir Alan lots of money.

True I think, didn't see anything to contradict this.

The ISP issue in the interview was just a mix up on wordings, hardly a bigger lie than any of the others came out with.

Seems to me that Sir Alan has been told that he looked like a mug the previous week in the boardroom, so took out his embarassment on Stuart.

Stuart has had a lucky escape and will do much better without polishing Sugar's boots for a living.

I agree OP, he was built up then treated like that, was really unfair the way they humiliated him to be honest. The only person who was sh*t tonight was Lord Sugar, just because of the way he spoke to Stuart. It was rude and unprofessional in my opinion, he did a u-turn just because of what one guy said, even though he had two other employees who had known him for longer and saw the actual hard work he had put in over the weeks. No mention of that, just been yelled at for one small matter, which was totally blown out of proportion. He was the fall guy and didn't deserve to be fired in the manner he was .

Even CLAUDE said some good points about Stuart. The whole thing was a blatant BBC set-up, the supposed to be a moment of pathos, the old man revealing his weakness, showing he can be wrong, realizing that he was wrong to fire Liz....he's not so perfect after all

I never really liked Stuart, too abrasive and childish.

But he always seemed quite genuine to me, if a little misguided/delusional.

But it was such a disgusting way to fire him, I was just speechless.

I agree with others on here, I was quite shocked - they didnt really give him a chance to defend himself at all when in the past contestants are at least allowed to explain themselves. Thought the way he was treated was actually quite disgusting.

I thought his firing was very harsh and bordering on ridicule and humiliation.

He's 21 years of age and all through the show all he has aspired to, is to want to do his best to make Sugar millions. Sure it came off to us the public as slightly deluded, fantatist and OTT, but there was no need to make a public spectacle of him and practically ruin any future ambitions that he may have.

Why was SA so harsh on the youngest member of the team in firing him, and yet gave Jo the most dignified exit?

I think SA needs to remember that regardless of their faults, these candidates apply to work for him, do a show for him and practically humiliate themselves on national TV for him.

SA needs a bit of a reality check himself and someone in that boardroom to actually say that to him, or at the end of it instead of thanking him, to tell him to shove his job where the sun doesn't shine.

Did you see his performance, as you're a big fan, I'm sure you did on the first programme of this series when he talked down to people who he was supposed to be selling to? Yes, he had a great task in Hamburg, but the guy, especially as a youngster, was cannon fodder, simple as that. Funny though how all these 20 somethings talk about only being the age they are but are always happy to put themselves up for the programme. Don't feel sorry for them because they, as well as the producers and Sugar, know exactly how they are being manipulated/doing the manipulating - it's called making 'good' TV. Thought it was justified, he's a liar, he knew what he was doing yet kept argueing semantics. Lest we forget the gem about spreading lies about a competitor, which IMO is grounds for dismissal also.

In my opinion it was totally deserved. Save your pity for somebody that deserves it. Stuart was a total liar and bullshitter and deserved everything that was thrown at him. I think that LS only kept him in last week to teach him a lesson and also to make good tv. Yes, he did set him up, hook line and sinker but I think that Stuart deserved it. He was so arrogant and cock sure all the time and the drivel that came out of his mouth was total nonsenses most of the time. Always bigging himself up in the boardroom to look big and thinking that he had got one over on LS when all the time LS was going to have the last laugh like he did this week.

If you are going to lie about something then you have to face the circumstances when you are found out. I think that LS would have already known about his lies about the license before this week anyway!

I really thought that you as a RTV fan and one who looks a bit further than the surface would agree that this guy really was set up to be butchered.

What's the bets that they all told little white lies on their CV's but only Stuart was made a spectacle of.....and all because his bragging and aspirations were far fetched. There's no way that anyone deserves to have their future trashed at the age of 21 years of age for something like that.

The point is, he was found out on his lie - it was made clear that they weren't angry about that, he's 21 and was bigging himself up. It's the fact that he continued to try to lie about it that ticked off SA.

Plus the whole country just saw that is what he is like, do you really want someone like that working in a top position for you, especially if you want to be on good terms with your competitors. Would you send Baggs the brand to any meeting where integrity and honesty (or the perception of) are key when Stuart's personality was there for all to see on this season's apprentice?

He lied in a crafty way by knowingly wording his CV and career in a misleading fashion, he knew what he was doing and no weak technicality was going to get him out of that one. Plus during his time he has seen to be rude, putting customers off, rubbing other contestants up the wrong way and also acting like a total ego maniac and suck up at times.

He was great viewing though and was the star of this series imo.

I am glad he has gone though, his attitude of rip off the customer as much as humanly possible whilst putting out the lowest quality you can get away with has been apparent throughout the series and I thoroughly despise businessmen like that.

Yes of course......especially admitting it on live TV. I.e. that all salespeople are braggarts and even liars to get themselves up the career ladder.

It seemed a bit too close to the bone IMO. SA probably seen too much of himself in Stuart, but now that he's a Sir, he wants to detach that part of himself.

I dont think that Stuart had his future trashed. I think that Lord Sugar realised that he could take what he said to him and thought that by talking to him as he did would bring him down to size a little and teach him a lesson. The majority of us know that it was to make good tv. I might sound a little harsh but one thing that I cannot stand and that is a liar. Stuart seemed to tell plenty of them. I feel that if you are going to be mouthy and tell so many lies then you have to be prepared to take the consequences!

I am sure that Stuart will bounce back and tell plenty more lies in the years to come. Thats obviously the sort of person he is. The majority of us could see through him weeks back and I am sure that Lord Sugar did too! Stuart would probably have loved the publicity from it all even though he will now be known as a total bullshitter!

They might all be liars JTW but the trouble with Stuart he still tried to blagg it and change the subject and starting asking what his name was. Maybe if he had manned up and admitted earlier that he was lying Sir Sugar would not have been so harsh on him.

Well my problem with this show if you like, is how are the candidates vetted in the first place?

Who looks at their applications and are their CVs looked at also?

How are they vetted once that's done?

So were they looking for some stooge to be the main part of the entertainment process all along (a 21 year old in this case) only to totally anihilate him when he got to the final?

Your right. It's a pity he didn't ask SA how he would have lied his way out of that situation when he was that age.

Your wrong Darcy, I never felt sorry for him at all all through the show and felt he should have been fired way before the finals. I also felt that SA should have had some words for his bullshining way before the finals.

But it's the very fact that he reached the finals is where I am peed off about how edited and all for entertainment at someone's expense, especially a young person, that this all got to.

I think it was the case of speaking too much on Stuart's behalf.

Alan has forgiven people in the past for telling a few porkies and coming clean.

He had a chance to come clean and say, I did stretch the truth a bit but you can take away from the fact that I have set up my own broadband company, which is stark contrast to what my peers have achieved.

The thing is he got caught lying and went into the boardroom and tried to still push the case, and I rememebr exactly after that moment Sir Alan just switched and lost his temper.

If you look in one of the previous series I rememebr once he even said "you know he bent the truth a little and made exaggerated claims, but so did I when I was young a foolish I did a lot of things I regret".

Also if you remember Chris in the germinator task the "head of communications" guy still tried to defend his product in the boardroom where as chris took on board what alan sugar said and still defended his position.

I think Stuart just messed up in that very narrow 5 second margin he was given to come clean, and you know in that situation where he has to fire 3 people, he's only looking for ONE tiny reason to get rid of someone, and stuart just blew it then.
