I am the wrong person really to comment on this (I choose Joanna and Liz as my faves for the final
), but if Baggs the bragger hadnt been saved, then I think Liz would have had a chance.Thing is though, what dark secrets are lurking in Liz's closet, and would Claude have found them?.... ![]() Sadly, we will never know. |

Personally don't think so. I think LS would have fired Joanna first followed by Jamie. Three remain, Chris makes the final leaving two very similar woman as the other candidate. I just think LS has always favoured Stella over Liz, just a feeling but he has always liked the candidates from humble beginnings. Bit of a cliche perhaps but he doesn't actually realise how much the world has changed since he set up his market stall all those years ago.

Nah, she wouldn't have made it to the final because she didn't have a field of ponies!

Last week when Alan Sugar chose Stuart & Stella over Liz i suggested that he was going senile. Out of the 3 of them Liz was the most successful that week yet she went. I thought Liz & Joanna deserved to have been in the final. They are both well organised, good team leaders & team players. Lord Sugar has lost his sense of judgement.

Probably she would have been, in place of Stella. Its obvious Sugar has chosen Chris to be his apprentice. It doesnt really matter who hes up against.

No, LS had already decided she wasn't for him, hence keeping Stuart would make good tv. Yes, theres a 100K job at stake, but its a TV show first and foremost.

Not at all. I think he'd made his mind up she wasn't for him. She meant so little to him that he was willing to sacrifice her for StuBaggs - he clearly didn't rate her.

No Liz is very good but she is one in a dozen. She didn't have the spark, I got the sense she was knowledgeable rather than intelligent, not neccesarily a bad thing but in the context of this process an insurmountable obstacle in her path to winning. There are a lot of young females who essentially look, dress and present like Liz, she was not a unique candidate.

Don't think she would have made it, there's been enough stuff in newspapers about her exaggerated CV to suggest they'd have ripped her apart at interview. Quotes that she's fully qualified are all good and well, but it's a year on now, what was the true situation at the time? Was she really just a back office data entry clerk?

I dunno.
While she was pretty good in the tasks, her boardroom performances weren't great. She had a sneery air of arrogance and didn't take critcism well. There was always lots of eye-rolling and when accepting critcism it never felt totally genuine, like she was really having to force herself to be humble after getting a bollocking from Lord Sugar. I think possibly the interviewers would have found her to have an attitude problem. |

I think LS decides fairly quickly who will be the final 2-4 candidates will be. Half way through, he will already know the winning candidate. He keeps them around. The order in which others get fired maybe driven by tv ratings/entertainment value. However it has no effect on the winning candidate. |

I don't think she would have made the final, but probably would have come third. I think she's a bit overrated to be honest - whilst she may have been good at the tasks, couldn't hold her own in the boardroom and couldn't take criticism. She did come across rather arrogant and as if she thought she knew better.

His problem is that Liz probably won't give him any good arguments to get rid of her at interview. Stella is more corporate. Stella has made the bigger mistakes.Stella is more wooden. Stella seems less popular. Liz sells and presents better and has shown more basic business sense culminating in the truffles episode. thats been registered and featured on the why I fired them show so its registered as an issue. Both coming from banking and at worst match each other for achievements. He can't say he doesn't want a banker when thats all he has on offer in his final 3. He can't challenge Liz on age or experience as she sits in the middle of the available range. Liz can match Chris's polish better. She can probably match Stella's reason for wanting to change. Stella has an impressive journey story. Liz's CV has no issues as far as we know. His best option, if he hadn't blown it with Stuart staying over Liz, is to drop Chris and take Liz and Stella and see who he likes over the 6 month trial and over the last task - but then he's back to his desire for a mixed sex final and his strange liking for Chris. |

That simply isn't true. Certainly she's less animated than some but if you actually watch her she's not in the least wooden. Reserved, maybe, but for her that correct in the normal business environment.Quote:

Only because she was rightly seen as the biggest threat.

I don't think Liz would have made the last 2. Her sales were good, but we know from media leaks that some of the big orders she got, including the 'record' were not real orders.
Leaving sales aside her record was not that good. Baggs for example led the same 3 girls to victory as she led to defeat. I think she would have been in 3rd or 4th place |
