But will anyone actually do anything about our votes?

i fear not

I'm mostly indifferent to Brucie; I just ignore him.

However, I just don't see this unique thing/quality/whatever that he brings to the show, or anything else that can justify his outrageous salary.

No, only if he was replaced with Anton though. Otherwise, keep him.

Seeing as there is so much disagreement about who should replace him I say give Bruce another year.

Although if Graham Norton is available and could do it for half Brucie's fee I say Graham would be an excellent replacement as he showed on the search for a Dorothy in the Wizard show.

I'm not really a Brucie fan, and wouldn't be all that sad to see him go. Plus I think it would be an oportunity for other strictly people to change roles, I would quite like to see Erin and Anton "graduate" to judge and presenter..

No.

I respect the man, but he's not good enough now. I don't mean that in a bad way, but all his jokes and links are just poor - it's got to the point where I and others I know, now record the show so that we can fast-forward through all his bits. I think he can leave with his head held high, with a hit show that he has helped bring to fruition and sucess. However if he stays any longer, the situation is just going to become embarrassing (actually I think it reached that point a year or two ago).

Bruce is definitely way past his best and annoys me greatly. However, with the way strictly is going I just dread who they would replace him with to get the 'youth' interested.

Whoever gets the gig there will complaints, so might as well be better the devil you know.

And I think if he leaves now, he will still be leaving on a vague high rather then trying to have a few more series of the jokes getting worse and worse.

Best ask Brucie, if he'll return, but only if he wants to.

Hey tall paul, before you wear out your poll button, can we have one for Tess to stay or go? Seems the beeb likes to jiggle with everything except the presenters, and they're the ones that get on my nerves!

don't exactly float my vote either.

I voted "yes" because I cannot imagine who can replace him. It will have to be an experienced entertainer/presenter who knows about dancing. I am sure such a person exists and obviously Bruce isn't going to go on forever but I dread the thought of the Beeb putting Anton in his place. Anton is a wonderful dancer and can be charming (and racist), but he is not of the same calibre.

Whoever replaces a presenter who has been in post for a long duration will receive criticism when he/she starts. It has always been thus and will remain so. Those of us with the right kind of eyes will see it so and also recognise that within a few years of replacing the old host the new one will also be talked about in the same terms. Imagine if you will a crazy scenario where people are mourning John Craven not presenting strictly anymore. "Since Brucie left he's been the only thing holding the ship together" and "He might be terrible at telling jokes but he's better than x or y are so I say we keep him on". People are inherently fearful of change and yet when it arrives they invariably groan about it for a few weeks and then live with it and then come to appreciate it. Alesha is a case in point. This year many have been commenting on her being the most accurate of the judges in her scoring. One year ago she was the most hated figure in Strictly.

Whoever is chosen will be immediately disliked by at least half the viewers based on nothing but preconceptions and a lot of those barrackers will end up supporting the presenter within a year or two.

All this aside, the evidence that we have to go on, ie Forsythe's performance week on week suggests that he is or did some time ago reach a point where he is/was incapable of presenting a tv show with aplomb. Time to replace at the end of this series. (in my opinion, time to replace 2 series ago)

I'm a bit scared he will die on air but he seems desperate to.
