Steady Stella or cautious Chris - no disrespect but neither

LOL, I just made almost exactly the same point in response to something you said in a thread I read earlier.

You were way ahead of me.

I would like to see Stella become the next apprentice - I like Chris also, he does seem to have a certain honesty about him but good luck to both of them

Yes, I gather his brother, the trainee cabbie is also honest.

As is his kilt making aunt.

At the end of the day though, it doesn't really matter - Baggs has gone, so I don't mind who wins now ”

my thoughts exactly!!!

stella is my favourite, agree with your post entirely

They are offered a place because it would be hard for them to get highly-paid temporary work elsewhere. If they knew upfront broadcast would be delayed for a year, that might have been a long enough period for them to get proper jobs, in which case they needn't have worked for Lord Sugar at all.

Alternatively, it'd make no sense to work for him for just 6 months and do temporary work for the other six. So it'll either be the whole year, or nothing. Probably.

This may be true or not, I don't know anything about these people I am making an observation solely about Chris who I have watched over the past few weeks on the programme.

I like both of them and think they would both be worthy winners - I think I prefer Stella but there's not much in it

It has to be Chris because nearly everyone (myself included) expects Stella to win. In a shock twist Darth Sugar will hire Chris and Chris will leave in a year saying "he wants to move on to new challenges!" Oh, so exciting and not contrived in any way shape or form!!!

Just seen a preview of tonights final where Lord Sugar looks to his right, points and says your hired. In a later preview the two candidates are seen in respective seating positions showing Chris Bates to Lord Sugars right.

Well done Chris and well done the BBC, you've ruined it

I've always preferred Stella to Chris. It's his voice really, as Nick decribed. Like a distant bomber coming home on three engines. Chris sounds like he has had a lot of advantages over Stella. He's only 23/24. Should he be on £100k in what is only his second proper job ?

To me Stella is the more deserving candidate

Stella SHOULD win, but I don't think she will - I think Chris will. We all know that Lord Sugar likes the younger people, he always comments on them 'reminding him of himself' and how he thinks they can grow and develop within one of his companies. I do honestly think that Stella's age and her very formal approach to business will put Sugar off hiring her.

It's a shame though, because Chris has made so many mistakes in this process and been in the losing team so many times. It just seems logical that Stella has 10x more business initiative.

Hoping Stella wins, but pretty sure she won't.

Is it not possible that they switched positions or something? Surely the BBC would not make such an embarrassing and idiotic mistake .

Firstly, well done for posting something you though gave the game away without spoiler tags.

Secondly, that means nothing as they take shots of him pointing in different directions which they can use to make up trailers without foretelling the outcome.

People are forever thinking they've got it cracked on this basis. And you can trust the sun to make pratts of themselves by not knowing the true situation.

Of course, these predictions are right 50% of the time.

How on earth could Chris remind Sugar of himself?

He had reasonably well off parents and a good academic career and has made no attempt to start a business.

About the only thing they have in common is that they are male.

Of course, you could well be correct about the outcome.

I think it should be Stella. Chris has not done enough all series to justify getting to the final.

However Sugar seems to love him - and it is being spun in his favour, so I think Chris might take it.
