One day, ITV shares will start to slide, resulting in the drastic decision to axe Corrination street.

The question is simple: How would you have the final ever episode pan out?

A live episode where thousands of fans will protest in the street which will cause ITV to renew it.

Picture the scene:

Mary has littered the street with explosives. She is standing on the roof of her mobile home, screaming of her anguish over Norris' latest rejection.

"I want to be happy. HAPPY DAMMIT!!! Magazine competitions can only give me so much satisfaction!

All of the residents gather, trying to talk sense into her.

Audreh: Marehluv!
Ken: Maryyyyy! Don't do it, for the love of Ena! *shakes head around, bobbing his hair up and down*

Mary: It's too late! ARGHHHHH!!!!!

Coronation Street goes up in flames, and everyone is dead. Dun dun dunnnnnnn!

In all honesty I'd like to end like The Bill did, with everything carrying on as normal afterwards, no dramatic whole cast killing/leaving story line, just life continuing.

I reckon Mary's chemical loo exploding would finish off most of Weatherfield.

Martha Longhurst wakes up from her snooze in the rovers.

"By gum I had the oddest dream"

Ena: "Well we had to listen to you break wind half way through it you silly old cow"

(Corrie filmed this scene in 1964 in preparation for when the show ends)

Each cast member in turn learns John's secret, so he accidently kills them all.

Ken and Dierdre discover they both have terminal cancer, and they decide to live out their remaining days in Spain. Peter and Leanne join them to care for them. Tracey also joins them with the intention of murdering them all.

Following Dev's murder, Sunita and the children move to india to live with her brother.

Steve, Becky, Max and the two malaysian kids they bought on the internet move to Malaysia to get accustomed to their tradition and culture.

Roy and Hayley decide to move to Amsterdam to run a café where they first met and fell in love.

Sally and Kevin decide to move to America to get away from the street as there are too many bad memories. Rosie and Jason also join them to start their married life, along with Sophie and Sian who also start their married life.

Gail realises there is nothing left for her in Weatherfield after David is sent down for life for killing brother Nick, so she flees to Italy to live with Sarah-Lou.

Carla finds herself haunted by the memories of both Tony Gordon and Nick Tisley, so she drinks herself into a coma, discovered by Michelle Connor, she drives to the hospital but due to ice on the road they crash into a frozen lake and both die of hypothermia.

The last shot is of Betty, standing alone in the Rovers, she solemnly puts a sign up outside saying closed forever, gets into a taxi, when asked where she is going to, she says 'Anywhere chuck, theres nothing left for me here'.

*cue corrie credits*

England wins the rights to the World Cup in 2022 which requires 5 football stadiums to be built in Manchester. Site no 1 is Weatherfield, as its near the tram line. Coronation Street gets demolished and all the residents get relocated to Liverpool to a street called Brookside Close.

After a normal evening drinking in the Rovers with the regular cast at their normal tables we switch to the office of Tony Warren in 1960 surrounded by lots of half finshed scripts and ideas. He looks at the latest draft on the typewriter and, taking a sip of brandy, says "Florizel Street? Maybe they're right, this will never work.."
He crumples up the daft and throws it sadly into the overflowing bin as he walks slowly out of the office into the cold Manchester night
