why the matt hate?
bought it today; weird for me cos i usually download everything, but ive had it on repeat for a time.
my point is- why bother with paper rumours? either you like or not. listen or dont. it doesnt matter to me if he likes a drink or is a womaniser; he can simply sing. |

Matt just won the X-Factor. This makes him a high profile cash cow. The papers will report on him either good or bad until the public looses interest.

Can you imagine us having even a fraction of the music icons from the past if the Tabloids had been as savage in their days as they are now?

![]() Whilst there is often a grain of truth in some newspaper stories, they are largely made up and come from "sources" or people who suddenly latch on to someone in the public eye if it means a fast buck. Or its total fabrication to sell copies. Problem is a large section of the more gullible members of the public soak it all up like a sponge. |

I think there is a bit of a backlash against X Factor itself and not Matt specifically. It would have happened whoever had won. It will be forgotten in the new year. That is to say, it won't stick with him forever if he is smart enough. He should give someone like Will Young a call.

It's because people are jealous that he won.... trying to twist any stories any way they can... just to assure them. Pretty sad people really.

Bitter people, that is all.
I don't know how some people get such a kick out of wanting and hoping to see someone's music career fail. He has just won the X Factor, seems like a lovely, genuine bloke (don't believe everything you read in the papers - yes Daily Mail I am looking at you!) so good luck to him. But with the nature of this forum, it doesn't matter what Matt does from here on, he will always have those who are ready to knock him. |

It actually says in my paper 'Matt More Amazing Bombshells' and in Bizarre, there is a double-page spread mainly about Matt.

Well, those indian brothers that his mother kindly took in after their own mother's death? Their father has come forward and branded it a lie, saying that his family was not even close to the Cardle's. It was just a story fabricated to help him in the show, apparently. And this is not just a 'paper rumour' the words came straight from the father's mouth.
He has also been reported as saying he is a better musical artist than any other X Factor winner because he can write songs. That's why people are beginning to dislike Matt. |

I don't know how some people get such a kick out of wanting and hoping to see someone's music career fail. Why does it matter to them if Matt makes a success or not ? If they don`t like his music they don`t have to buy or listen to it ![]() I don`t care much for Cher or Wagner and if they are successful in the future well done to them. What really puzzles me are the `dislikers` who say they`re sick of him etc etc and turn up on every thread to have their say ![]() I`m pretty sure they scour the papers/articles about him, ignore the good, pick up on the bad ones and just come on here to vent and say `I told you so` Very sad indeed

What's silly is how this man claims the biggest insult as Matt dedicating that song to her. Because apparently she liked classical music He was separated from his 'wife' when she died so how would he know what she discussed with Matt's Mum? Also it's interesting how this man doesn't remember Matt singing the song at his sons' wedding not his ex wifes funeral as claimed....did he not go to his son's wedding? I just feel there's too many plotholes for this to be believable! |

So no one is allowed not to like Matt as his fans just don't understand, this if anyone doesn't like him it is all a plot to see people fail and reveal their own bitterness and hatefulness?
You can't beat the generalisations on DS you really can't. Maybe Matt is not to everyone's taste and perhaps they also have a right to express that. Some people may not express it in the most eloquent of ways which would make their fans happy but they are free to do so. I think fans will only be happy with people disliking Matt if there is a possibility that they will turn to liking him or can be argued into liking him or are told that they should. Sorry but some people just don't like his music or his type of music and they should have the right without reprisal to express it, and the same goes for those who love it. |

Should you not be following or supporting you favourite! If people want to comment about his music, well they are entitled to their opinion and I for one would find that interesting, but it many cases it has just ended up calling him names and nasty comments. |
