I pretty much agree with everything you said, I love the way she threw herself wholeheartedly into everything and had the most fun doing it.
But I hated all the fake-LA gushing.

All that, "shucks, me, really?" while clutching her throat in mock surprise, it just came off as so fake. If she could have toned that down, I think she would have been more popular despite the judges' blatant overmarking.
