Tonight just proved all along that Kara and Artem had been "teachers pets" throughout the series! How on EARTH could Alesha and Bruno give them 10s when Craig and Len had pointed out that they had made foot faults during one of their dances? What an absolute fix!

The scores had zero impact on the outcome tonight. It was completely irrelevant

People always scream "FIX!" when their favourite hasn't won.

dude, the stompy, leaden Dr Pamela Stephenson got 40 FOUR times
kara and artem topped the leaderboard twice the whole series and never got a 40

I would hardly call her a teacher's pet

she was overmarked for two dances - jive and showdance

and that's it

I don't think Kara's outfit for the show dance did her any favours. She seemed really self concious when she was talking to Bruce and then to Tess, and kept trying to cover her 'modesty' or pull the legs down to avoid 'camel toe' (sorry ).

It could have been amazing if it had been performed perfectly.

Matt's was too OTT and didn't have enough content and Pamela's was just a little lacking in 'show' despite having plenty of 'dance'.

I'm happy we got to see all 3 this year though.

The posting tips ask you do not use txt spk. I point this out because I've seen this now in 3 of your posts tonight.

As one of Kara's biggest fans - yes it was. But I think that most couples, certainly the final 3 or 4 have all experienced strange scores. It's tough to explain why, there seems little pattern to it. Personally I suspect their just incompetent and inconsistent at times.
But ultimately, this issue aside, she was clearly the best dancer, thus I think we shouldn't get too hung up on it.

I don't think the showdances should be scored at all to be honest - how can you fairly score something the couples have total free rein in? (although I thought they were all pretty pants tonight :O)

Maybe it's better not to argue - have you seen the number of !s? And they're increasing - there's more than 5 of them now!

I thought all the showdances were a let down but I give more credit to Matt and Kara as they took risks and tried to put on a special show performance. Out of those two I thought Kara's had the more dance content.

As already mentioned the judges vote meant nothing and I think most people decide on who they want to win based on several factors not just what the judges say or do.

I might be safe, it's not in text speak!

I don't have an anti-Kara bias, before anyone accuses me of it, in fact I think she deserves to win based on her overall performances, but there was absolutely no way that showdance was deserving of a 9.”

She missed full days of training all on account of being sick in bed. Matt not much better. Not very forgiving are you?

I do think it was a tiny bit overmarked, but I think that the judges were marking it on potential - it would have been a really amazing routine without the little mistakes. I think it all balances itself out really though, I think Kara has been undermarked a lot this series, and especially getting the 7 tonight from Len for the AS imo makes up for the 9s of the showdance

ALL of the show dances were over marked!!

Pamela did not do a "real" showdance, it was safe and easy, nothing more. But, as per, the judges pumped up her score massivley out of misplaced favouritism.

Matts was really rushed and looked under rehearsed for it IMO, it was the worst of the three. The placings should have been closer between Pamela and Kara (as in Pamelas being marked down).

This was all because the judges were far too busy pumping up Pamelas score at every opportunity.

Might I add her quickstep and maybe even her foxtrot on the list?

Kara's showdance was not overmarked in comparison to the other two dances. It was by far the most difficult routine, and unfortunately there were a few mistakes, but the level of difficulty should be taken into account in the scoring, imo. So no, not overmarked relatively speaking.
